when you get the chance, make sure you point this out to God.

As for me, I find that the bible only seems to include what a person needs for salvation, and understanding of the importance of salvation.

The reason is because the "dinosaurs" of the "Bible" where not undiscovered fossils in the ground, but living breathing creatures walking amongst man.

Actually, Tanniyn translated from Hebrew is "Dragon", Dinosaurs resemble dragons more than elephants...At least they do to me. The Behemoth is likely the Brachiosaurus, though elphanty in shape, still no elephant.

"Leviathan has the following attributes according to Job chapter 41, Psalm 104:25,26 and Isaiah 27:1. This is only a partial listing—just enough to make the point.

“No one is so fierce that he would dare stir him up.”
“Who can open the doors of his face, with his terrible teeth all around?”
“His rows of scales are his pride, shut up tightly as with a seal; one is so near another that no air can come between them; they are joined one to another, they stick together and cannot be parted.”
“His sneezings flash forth light, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning. Out of his mouth go burning lights; sparks of fire shoot out. Smoke goes out of his nostrils, as from a boiling pot and burning rushes. His breath kindles coals, and a flame goes out of his mouth.”
“Though the sword reaches him, it cannot avail; nor does spear, dart, or javelin. He regards iron as straw, and bronze as rotten wood. The arrow cannot make him flee; slingstones become like stubble to him. Darts are regarded as straw; he laughs at the threat of javelins.”
“On earth there is nothing like him, which is made without fear.”
Leviathan “played” in the “great and wide sea” (a paraphrase of Psalm 104 verses 25 and 26—get the exact sense by reading them yourself).
Leviathan is a “reptile* that is in the sea.” (Isaiah 27:1)

*Note: The word translated “reptile” here is the Hebrew word tanniyn. This shows that “Leviathan” was also a “tanniyn” (dragon)."

*applause* I have to hand it to you man. That is the absolute greatest excuse to make a word mean anything you need it to I have ever read. You just turned the word "day" into a swiss army knife!

If you need to stretch things that far to be able to believe in your religion and yet you still believe.... Well I now see why religion has lasted thus far.

Hey. I didn't make up the language. I just report what it says. Blame people thousands of years ago for not having a word for "billions" or "millions"

Given the earth is only about(according to the "Bible") 6000 years old, it is unlikely that there would have been a word for, much less a concept of "billions or "millions".

Too bad Sagan didn't live back then. He could have said "billions and billions" all time time.

Awesome, thanks. I only needed one line from that to wrap this up.

You see they aren't describing dinosaurs. The word TAanninyn translates into dragon, because that's what they are describing. A fire breathing dragon...

Now don't get me wrong, you place that in the context of a book about mythical beings, heaven and hell, demons, "miracles", parting a sea so people can walk through it, men walking on water, and an endless burning bush and mythical fire breathing dragons kinda fit.

Again, dinosaurs would have been such a huge threat to human life that they'd have been a lot bigger subject than that.

And since you bring up Job, I ask again...

God was a cool cat back then. I mean he spoke to people. He was kickin it with Job telling him to behold stuff and what not.

Did the rules change or something? Or did he just stop talking to folks after we learned how to call bullshit?

God does not come to all of us, we have learned enough to survive on our own, and now it is our turn to come to God.

We have learned enough to survive on our own? What is that supposed to mean? We haven't seen God in two millenia (according to the Bible- I doubt anybody EVER saw him, unless they were on ancient shrooms...) Since then we have gone through the Inquisition, the crusades, the holocaust and nearly twenty centuries of constant warfare... where has god been through all of that? And not only that, but God/Allah/Zeus/(your god here) was the prime cause usually! And every country claimed to have God on their side, why did God never dispute this with anyone? Sorry about the rant, but this just gets more and more ridiculous. Please use your brain.

George you can stop the debate over what "days" actually meant, as the young earth creationists have made it very clear what they believe (when they aren't being challenged lol):

Are there more videos from Kent Hovind that can be watched online? He is quite an articulate and intelligent creation science speaker.

Yeah, Kent kicks butt.... Whether you believe what he is talking about or not, he is a good/entertaining speaker. He makes a good argument. I think I first saw him on PBS a number of years ago. The production was cheesey, he seemed a bit strange, but I kept watching. It was a very ghetto production, but non the less, it was interesting.
