I found some threads have good PR rate My question is : will these PR influence to signature link's PR ? BTW : I am not asking whether you like PR or not like PR. Thanks/ Regards
Yes it will affect the value of the link, but that PR showing for the thread will be for the first page of that thread.... by the time it gets to page 2 it's usually PR1 or lower. By the time a thread "shows" google toolbar PR the thread is often on page 3 or 4 with little or no value. Also when you add up the sig links, and internal forum links on a thread page it often adds up to well over 100+ links so still won't be of much value per link google PR wise.
That's right. The PR of any page in dp will be less likely to pass the PR juice to its siggy links because of too many links (100+, as you said).
It may not have a very big influence to PR of your site..but it's just one of those 1000 odd links that will decide the PR together..
I know the pr juice will be lower, but I'll take whatever I can get.... It is nice to get links for participating in a forum you enjoy anyways.
vagrant did raise up a good point over there. It will still pass on the link juice but it's just too little to make a difference. However the only way to compensate for it is by having a lot of your links present on these type of threads.
yes it may help you and it's worth a try but just bear in mind that the value of the PR that you get from that webpage will be effected by the number of links already on the page. So if there are 50 signature links from other people then you are likely to gain little PR from it but if yours is the only signature link then you would gain substantially.
i hav seen couple of threads with PR2...senior members must hav seen even higher...whats the highest??? just the curiosity
A thread gains good PR mainly due to heavy interaction in that particular thread and hence the number of signature links is also bound to be very high, due to the higher number of posts. This results in the passing of very insignificant PR juice to all such links. Regards, RightMan
it may be just a bit of pr actually passed on, but it's from an authority site and that's another factor in the whole deal when google is factoring things up for a search engine result
if you make a good research and be carefoul with your postings u can get a lot of 3 or 4 with few links in them.I had 76 pr 3 and above links from forum posting.
Can you give us more detail? What forums and do you think the quality of the posts on the page had more to do with it or just being part of the site as a whole?
