Hubpages or Ezine articles

Ezines articles I know is a really good way to get backlinks and get exposure, I just discovered Hubpages and I have to say I am starting to like it better than Ezine. I publish my article instantly, there are ways to monetize it, and it gets indexed really fast. Ezines takes a week to publish or tell me it is rejected and it can not be monetized.

    Any thoughts

    Thanks

    Ruben

I think they are both good resources to use. I like ezinearticles better as it allows others to republish the article for even more links. With hubpages the links are nofollow until you have an overall hubscore of at least 75. So it is a lot of work for those links.

Articles published in Ezines can be republished in other websites or even in offline newsletters. The exposure of your articles is more widespread if articles are in ezines than in hubpages.

Hubpages is ran by a bunch of heavy handed admins. I joined hubpages, built a page, published it, was in the process of editing it when I received a warning and the page was disabled.

You are allowed no more then 3 links in an hubpage - and that includes an RSS feed. I had posted an RSS feed from my forum that had like the ten most recent post, and a couple of other links. The moderators said I was spamming, and issued a warning stating that if I keep it up, I would be banned. Ok, my page was less then 15 minutes old, and I was still in the process of editing it. The changes were made, all of the links were removed and resubmitted for consideration. The moderators took about a week to approve the page.

Lets put that into a time line - it took less then 15 minutes from the time the page was published to the time it was disabled. But it took about a week to be reconsidered? That is messed up.

As far as I am concerned, hubpages is not worth the trouble.

    Hi ruben,

You can't compare hubpages with ezine articles because they are 2 different type of sites....
Ezine articles is an article directory such as goarticles, articlebase etc...
    While Hubpages is like squidoo....

I suggest that you use them both! Hubpages and squidoo make ideal landing pages ;) while ezinearticles is really a gem for traffic :)

Any site that wants to build a strong reputation needs to be heavy handed.

The warnings that you got, were they autogenerated or from an actual staff member?

The thing is, you're allowed as many links as you want, as long as you don't have more than two to the same domain. But don't try and get around it with URL redirections, as it'll count them as a wild card against every domain you're linking to.

It's easy to trip a flag. I have. But they're there to get you to stay within the rules of the site.

Are you sure of it? I generally see most of the hubpages have nofollow links.

Ezines i would say is better especially once you know how to write good articles for it and you increase your rank on the site. Then your articles will get approved much faster because they will trust you more as an author.

Were the hubs under a HubScore of 40? Or the Hub Author under a HubberScore of 75?
