Penalized by Google, not indexing new pages anymore!

    My blog has been penalized by google, lost traffic from SERP, lost keywords position and now google is not indexing newer posts anymore. Not sure what should I do coz can't figure out why i have been penalized. Is there any email-support from google for webmasters? I tried explaining everything in google forum but they said google forum is the only place for webmasters. Some of them told me that it might be a duplicate content issue and gave an example of duplication with my blogcatalog account that pings every post i publish. Other top contributor from there asked me to change my robots.txt and I did as per his suggestion. But nothing is helping guys, I am getting really depressed now.

    Is there no email support from google where I can mail them explaining that I haven't done anything wrong like link schemes, duplication or black hat SEO etc?
    If there is no such address pls help me solve this with your experience DP brothers.

    How can you be so sure that it's a penalty? It's a competition. Everyone aims for the top position. If your competitors gain more SERP value than yours, causing drop on your position, it's not a penalty.

    @blogbucks
    I have already re-uploaded my sitemap

    @mdamin76
    Well, first I also thought i lost my SERP value to my competitors but through google forum I have confirmed that it is a penalty. Losing ranking in SERP is one thing but not getting indexed by google at the same time is more likely a penalty. Google is not indexing my newer posts anymore, what do think about that?

    It could be that you have done something inadverently that has not gone down well with Google. Perhaps you were building links to quickly and google didn't like it. Either way I'm really sorry that this has happend, it's so fustrating when you are trying to build an online site.

    How old is your site? If its a new site, then such fluctuation in SERPs can happen all the time. You will see lot of changes in SERPs if your site is new.

    So it is very much possible that your site is not penalized by Google. For a penalty, there must be some reason, if you think that there is nothing wrong with your site, then I guess you do not have to worry about penalty. Just keep adding useful content in your site and get quality backlinks.

    Your page "smartphone-tutorials" was chached on the 3rd of may, your index page was cached on 7th May, assuming it is the site in your sig file.

    Your site is only a google PR 1 so it won't get indexed very often after the site is a few months old.

    I doubt it is penalized at all.
    The domain was reged in nov2008 so would have been indexed the first few months the site was live until it's value was worked out. Once given a PR1, it is not high enough to warrant been crawled very often.

    Get some more backlinks

    Thanks all for your help, I have fixed some broken links after consulting google forum contributor and he also told that google rarely penalizes sites and in my case it might not be the case. I have decided to stop worrying about the indexing issue and keep updating my blog.

    @vagrant
    Yeah its a new blog reg in Nov08, I didn't even work at all for link building and that's why my pr is 1. But I have been tracking my normal ranking for posts since I came out of sandbox so it was scary for me to see such a drop in ranking suddenly. And google had always been indexing my posts and pages very quickly but now my newer posts aren't getting indexed that's surely a headache for me coz,

    1. My normal traffic from SERP dropped from 500 to 83.
    2. Not indexing newer posts means no more traffic for new added posts.

    But when I asked google forum top contributor if i needed to request a reconsideration or not he said,

    So, that sums up all the things. The problem remains though, but I will keep patience and keep on doing my job and will notify you when I see positive results.

    Thanks again brothers, not only I needed the technical support but I also needed some mentally support in this trouble coz my understanding and experience is limited and every problem I face is a new problem for me. Thanks for being with a new webmaster like me. :)

    I don't think google will de-indexed all pages in your site due to duplicate content. Maybe some pages but not all.

    Nah, my previous indexed posts are still indexed and alive. Just newer posts not getting indexed that's the problem.

    *Off Topic*
    After all these problems and tremendous traffic drop I am seeing one funny change with my adsense account.
    I used to earn $1 on avg from 7-10 clicks since I set up adsense in my blog 2 months ago. But yesterday I earned $4.61 from 5 clicks lol It is the best income for a day so far for me. Usually, my avg earning per click is $0.10 so this is a dramatic change for me. Is google showing sympathy? Hehe!

    I have changed my robots.txt file as per google forum top contributors suggestion. Now I have a robots.txt like this--->

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /feed/
    Disallow: /xmlrpc
    Disallow: /?p=
    Disallow: /wp-
    Disallow: /tag/

    I hate using a sitemap with google, it seams for big sites and if you add new pages often its a problem. I just add the page to my site map php page and dont use an xml file.
