The Peel P50 was released in 1962 and 1965 by the British Peel Manufacturing Company. It was released in an ill fated micro car class and cost only $400 US at the time. Currently the smallest car available for the North American market is the Smart Car by Mercedes-Benz. The Peel P50 was officially entered into the Guinness Book of World Records for being the smallest production car ever.
Wow, I have a friend who would dream of driving that car... but he's already getting a morris minor (mini tank!!!), lol Some of those old car's bodies are made with solid steel, my friend had a friend with a morris minor who had a car accident with a lorry, and the morris minor came out with only smashed windows and the person was fine!!! The lorry was a different story however...
I think this car is for children. If we drive this on highway and any one overtake than we fly in air. Because this car seems too light. And what i tell you about it ? The cheapest and worst car according to me. Regards SAM
Have a look at this video of Jeremy Clarkson driving the Peel P50 - it's ridiculous http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6OLh6VJXu0
Are there any pictures of the smallest cars, Peel P50 and Smart Car . I afford to buy one Peel P50 but they are not available now . How is the price of the Smart Car.
Wasn't this re-made like 2 years ago or something? I've seen it before...it was on Top Gear (TV show in the UK...)
