My site is fairly new just started it the 1st of the month and its my first site in general ever, my question here is im getting about 15-40 impressions a day which i beleive is terrible and quick tips on generating traffic to the site, i have submitted the site to some webdirectories and are going to similar forums and posting and things like that with my site in my signature and updating the site any other suggestions ?
Post articles about your site on Ezine, great way to get traffic and backlinks, make sure they are original and don't forget to include your link back to your site on the resource box. Create articles on Hubpages, another way to get exposure and again link back to your site. Comment on forums related to your site just like on this one. Be patient this should be a gradual process, there are more ways for traffic you can find on this forum. Ruben
You have to wait for 6 months or a year before traffic starts to trickle in. Since your site is just a month old, it is unrealistic to hope for hundreds of visitors coming from Google. Continue to build content and inbound links and wait for traffic to explode after a year.
what you mean by hubpages im very new at all this just using and getting as much information before i open more sites this is just my starter one but im starting to get afew backlinks and everything but wondering any other good information on how to achive this would be helpful

I am sure bulk social bookmarkings will help a lot. Actually, I had done about 300 social bookmarks on Delicious.com as well as 200 bookmarks on digg.com. I am getting more traffic from Google & yahoo. So, I am sure, that will work out.

I would suggest you to get a nice domain name for your website if you are serious about this whole thing. You will also have a better control over the website in the long run. And I also think it's better if you use hosted Wordpress to manage your blog because they have a lot of SEO friendly plugins that simplify the whole process of generating traffic to your website.
The traffic may take awhile. I guess it's too early for now to expect a huge number of visitors daily. The tips mentioned above are all tried and tested. Just be patient. In the meantime, post fresh contents. Best of luck!
