Guys, I want to add language translator at my site, please help me how to do this? What is code? I read about WorldLingo and looking for exact code. GCS
you can go to Google and just type in "google langauge translator". they have a tool that you can use. they will give you the code.
The google one is the best one, it can be found here: http://translate.google.com/translate_tools?hl=en
I have added Google translation service and that is fine. Once I complete SEO then I will post link here so you may see how it looks. I don't want that Google index my site before SEO finishing. Thanks everybody for helping me. GCS
For some Languages google might just be fine, but others google dont translate correctly. They just translate word by word, which make the text sound wrong.
Dear Basti, I have added google translator at my site. Can you please visit http://www.shahbazqadri.com and check if Google translator is working fine for German language. You are from Germany so you can check it very well. Thank you GCS
Well its not that bad, i have seen worse with google. But it still bad German, some words missing, some words are placed wrong within the sentence
As another German and former freelance translator I can confirm that the translation is rather poor. But it seems better than yahoo's babelfish. Personally I would advise against using website translator tools. Even if it helps you to rank in the specific language search eingines (does it?) the grammar of the snippet shown will more than likely turn off any readers which might hurt reputation. Plus I read somewhere that it can cause duplicate content issues and google problems? Not sure about this though.
My suggestion would be not to use one at all. No machine can reliably do translations - a point that translators always gleefully point out. It depends on how eagerly you want that web presence in other languages withouth spending a dime for it. It may still be beneficial, I'm no expert mind you.
