Today's a great day, for the first time ever my site has become google authority listed! ------------------------------------ URL: www.SymbianGalaxy.org Google Authority Link: http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=symbian+galaxy&btnG=Google+Search&meta=&aq=f&oq= ------------------------------------ What is an authroity listing ? Similar to an “indented listingâ€, an “authority listing†is a site which has received a significant of natural backlinks, total number of daily searches, and high quality linkback “authority†from other high PR sites, over a long period of time. I did some SEO work back in January this year, so, it took me about 5 months for my site to receive an authority listing on Google. So yeah I just wanted to tell you guys here, that with some SEO work anything is possible! Take care
You're confusing authority with sitelinks. Authority is when your site appears at the top of results for keywords related to your site (when you're dominating the serps) while sitelinks are just most popular links on your website.
You answer is both yes and no Only site with some important would got sitelinks, even for its own domain name. Many domain do not have sitelink when typed for its own name. However, those important and the site authoritative does not always come along together. The OP domain just only has site link with its own domain name while have only 9 links pop according to Google. It does not ranked for certain keyword and does not count for authoritative status in my opinion.
Are you expecting an answer? Try looking at the first post. OP= "Original Post, the first post (or posting) on a topic on a blog, often containing the original question or topic of discussion." Wikipedia Thanks Brian
nice job on Google, shame about DP as personally I think DP is the best online forum of its type around. Sitepoint is poor in comparison
