Recently my bro found 2 viruses. 1 looks like notepad icon and the 2 one like calculator. No antivirus can catch them. :( The report was sent to grisoft and waiting for their reply.

Why don't you report to kaspersky ?
I am sure KIS can kill the virus .

I must say that the result was approved. It detected and Grisoft will add the viruses in their database. And what about Why grisoft I'll say that We use AVG ant it ouns grisoft.

So be careful when You find them, they both are hidden files.

if no antivirus can catch them and as u said they are hidden files, I think they can be "rootkit".
rootkits hide themselves usually under system files and also the names of the rootkits seem like the system files
    e.g.
if the system file is: mcdm32.dll the rootkit can be as: mcdn32.dll

rootkits are very harmfull, because it allows the attacker gain privileged access to the computer.

I looked at avg's original website, but it said "AVG Anti-Rootkit is no longer available as separate product"
but, I've downloaded this software many years ago from a TR website and I'm very satisfied frm it.
u can download it frm here:
    http://www.inndir.com/AVG_Anti-Rootkit-36821p.html

I'm not sure if ur pc is affected by a rootkit, but I'm sure u'll be satisfied frm this software ;)

Read all the posts and then say your opinion OK? I saw no theme about Rootkit here, so if You noticed the result has already been approved, If You do not care about these viruses its your problem.
I think later I can post here the Grisoft's reply.

And do not forget, if somebody likes the thread rate it,please.

    Thanks

He doesnt like to write viruses, and he doesnt own any antyvirus company, look through the site I mentioned about above and then I think will be clear, he gains a huge database of viruses and so.
