Articles and my Blog

    Hi all :)

    I have 2 questions please.

    1. I have just recently set up a blog "www.caravans-4-hire.co.uk/Blog", this blog was solely intended to keep advertisers (although there are only two at the moment as it's brand new) or potential advertisers up to date with any changes or offers etc. However before people will pay to advertise I need to get the ranking up, it's page 9 for the keywords "caravans for hire" and page 3 for the keywords "caravans for hire uk", although it can sometimes drop a page for each.

As you can see the Blog is pretty empty at the moment, and because of the niche and stage of the site I don't really have anything worth adding, unless I rabmle for the sake of it ;) so I was wondering if adding links to my Ezine articles would help at all in improving my serps, I have around 17 approved Ezines?

    2. I write my articles submit them to Ezine and that's it, I don't do anything else with them, I don't submit them to any other article sites because of duplicate contents, would it benefit me adding the links to these articles on SB sites?

    Thanks in advance

    Dee

Do Not Worry about duplicate content. It is a myth and Please submit your articles everywhere that will let you. You can find out plenty more about this at my site. I assure you that this is EXACTLY how I have pushed my site to page 1 for several terms and they are all highly competitive terms in the internet marketing niche. Do a quick Google search for 'internet marketing techniques' and scan page 1 for businessopp4you.com

Trust me on this just submit your articles to the most popular directories and use social bookmarking to promote them and visit my site for article marketing tips and seo tips.

If I read your question correctly, you're asking if linking from your blog to your ezine articles would help your blog rankings? If that's what you're asking the answer is no!

You should be linking from your articles to your blog. You want links (and traffic) coming in to your blog, not going out of it.

I agree with bigmny4you on submitting your articles everywhere you can too. Every link is of value in some way, and every chance to get your link in front of people's eyes is of value too.

Google's duplicate content filter is not a myth but very much a reality. if you have same article posted on various article sites, then google will try to figure out which one is the original one and keep that indexed. rest will be removed form indexing.

@Op, while ezine articles is a great place to get some backlinks form, i would not suggest you to submit to EZA only for backlinks as it would only give you few backlinks at the end. also, having backlinks form only a single source is not natural either. you need to diversify your link building campaing and use various other link building methods

Don't focus on a single linkbuilding method. Yes, article submission is one way to build backlinks, but it's not enough to boost your ranking. Do tons of forum posting, blog commenting, social bookmarking, etc to improve your ranking.

Instead of submitting your unique content in the article directories, I would suggest you to get it posted on the blog.

    Hi

    Thanks for the replies :)

I also do not agree that the duplicate content is a myth, so I keep my articles unique.

I have written a new one and I could post it on my blog, but what I want is to increase my actual site in the serps, therefore it seems more beneficial to post it on Ezine or the likes or add it directly on my website (not ideal , but it would be more contents), what do you think?

    Thanks again

    Dee

PS Ye articles is only a small part of my SEO :)

You surely would get good backlinks by including your site links in your articles but I would advise you to spread this article submissions to other sites as well and to not keep it restricted to ezine only.

Getting links from various sources is always more beneficial than a concentrated source.
