    Hi all,
I have booked a domain name with yahoo, Long back. Now i would like to transfer the domain to different registrar. I did a full search through out help for domain transfer. Help is not available.

I never had good experience in yahoo hosting. Some how the interfaces are very cumbersome. Main reason to move out is price and ridiculous interface.

Fellas who experienced this before help me.

    Hi,
I have posted this who is Record that might help you in transfer.....

Let me explin you what you have to do

domain must be trnsfer with a month of due date and i see that your domain ...

    Expiration Date:03-Jun-2009

Did you register domain from same yahoo . i mean your hosting is form yahoo but i am not sure that your domain is also registered from yahoo or not...

you must ask yahoo to unlock your domain and ask the EPP code , ( its used for .com etc ) but i am not sure its same for regional domain...

but there must be some transfer code .... so get that code from them and transfer your domain before it expires...

if domain is not register from yahoo you dont need to be worry ...

just cotact your domain registerar and buy new hosting from somewhere and update name server only

we are using webnic.cc in that we have option where it doesnt display code but email it to the email address which is used at the time of register...

so find some option where you have to click then you will get the code by email....

make sure in your whois the email address is given valid.... if its not first update a valid email address

i was holding a domain with yahoo & i have trasferred it sucessfully.

i found a link for generating auth code

i agree with kumarsaran about the yahoo's interface, its not user friendly, not a commonly used navigation method so as to recollect how i did it.

better contact them directly, they have some indian branches. They may solve your problem in a day or two.

Be thankful it's not at register.com they don't like to let domains go. They're attached to that $35 a year. Took a week of being on hold and getting the run around to get domains transferred out of there. They make you call.
