Well i'm off to hong kong next week, only there for 4 days visitng my girlfriend, I will be staying in Kowloon and Shenzen (Shatin) Anyone know of some funky stuff i could try around these areas? It will be my first trip to Asia, so am looking forward to having as many 'experiences' as possible, especially where food/drink is concerned =D
I lived in Shatin for 19 years, tell me your exact address i call tell you some really nice place to eat..btw ShenZhen is not shatin, Shatin is in HongKong and ShenZhen is in China There is not much funky stuff to eat in Hongkong...at least no cat and dog
Pig penis?? So you really can eat that? I went to a Chinese restaurant a while back with my brother for some dim sum (spelling???) and the waitress said one of the dishes was pig penis. I just assumed I miss heard her though...
i don't believe so,,,,should be pig stomach or other organ.. they do eat tiger or sea lion penis as medicine, but not dim sum

This was my mom's first meal ever in a microwave (this was like 20 years ago or something)...so she sticks it in there for the recommended time with some sort of plug thing to make the inside cook faster. A long time later, she whips it out of the microwave. The thing is as hard as an egg! My father-in-law had to crack the thing open with a hammer and screwdriver (no joke!) and after that part cooled, the shell was fed to the dog. Of a 4-5 lb meatloaf, like the middle part of it was the only edible part. To this day (poor mom!), we ask her not to make meatloaf
WOW-That sounds like some of my cooking in earlier years-my mother can cook the best meatloaf every-sadly i never inherit her cooking skills but i have improve through out the years,thou. Now, i want some of moms meatloaf....
