Any idea of a rough guide to what I could make?

    Hi,

I own a webmaster/freelance forum and I am considering switching my banner advertising box to adsense ( like DP's ). However, before I switch, does anyone have a rough guide as to how much money I could expect to make.

According to Urchin I am getting approximately 70,000 page impressions per day which equates to approx 2,000,000 impressions per month.

Can anyone give me a rough Idea, so I can take a rough guess to see if its worth the change.

    Thanks

Thts a lot of impressions. But you must realise forums are notorious for very low CTR.

To top it off, its a webmaster forum, and it'll have an even low CTR.

But i think you'll be better off, due to those 70k impressions per day (CPM), besides the clicks.

It all depends on your ad placement mate. A top banner ad + ad links could easily have an eCPM of $1.30

umm, if you did it for clicks, and u got 10 cents per click. and a 1% ctr it would be $200 per month. so id say go for CPM :D

For a webmaster forum, I don't think you should count on an eCPM above 1 dollar.

AdSense sucks.. regardless. People don't make 100,000 a month like they used to.

Use INFOLINKS. You'll roll in the dough.
People can't even tell the ads are ads.
This is especially good in your case because again,
    webmasters don't click AdSense ads...

I am not familiar with Infolinks. Do they pay per impressions? or per click? Just need to know cause I want to test some other avenues to make up for my poor adsense.

    Thanks

Why don't you try to sell that banner ad spot directly to advertisers?
You can post your offer in the DP BST section.
