Is the Earth Flat?

Just out of curiosity, and I know this is off topic, when do you think the bible was written? Council of Nycea? Prior?

 

Well... I honestly don't know. And for my view of the world, it doesn't matter.

I just know that the old-testament was written more than 3000 years ago, and the new testament something like 2000 years ago, and the quran something like 1400 years ago.

Like many other people in our unfortunate world, I was forced to read through one of them at childhood, and also took a glimps on the other two later as an adult.

I find the books utterly, completely, incredibly, worthless when tested as an explanation to the (physical, not political ofcourse) world you and I live in. At the same time, I find all of them genious as a mean to control people's minds. They feature so much texts that say absolutely nothing in the good case, and self-contradicting in the worse case. i.e. "the world is flat" (post 1) and "the world is not flat" (post 8). A book whose meaning is subject to interpretation, is by definition meaningless. Only the interpretation has a meaning. And these interpretation are made by people who solely consider their bank accounts and their political strength, and not the benefit and well-being of humanity.

The Earth is ROUND.

 

Tbh your all pretty stoopid! the earth is obviously round, you dont need scientists to prove it. look out to sea! you cant see over the other side of the horizon because it curves! and why is there a curve? because its ROUND!! look at sattelite pictures, unless your country is 3rd world and you cant see TV or computer's (which in that case you wouldnt be on here) but my beliefs, i have non, i cant explain how the earth was created.. but guess what, i dont care, im here to live my life and enjoy it. not look up to someone who may or may not be real and waste my life praying or what not to him, whats the point? its a waste in time. you say you have to pray to stay healthy etc... how comes im prefectly ok? i dont believe in anything? i dont pray yet i live a happy and enjoyable life. in my opinion your just wasteing ya time! anyways... THE WORLD IS ROUND!!
