Checking using site: link : etc. etc affects your rankings ?

    Hi,

I just want to confirm that if i check the indexed pages or links to my site using Google commands of site: and link:. Will it give me some kind of penalization ? or its is safe to check as many times i want to?

Because sometimes Google give me a message message that this is an automatic command to google ( then they ask to me enter captcha code ) and then they proceed the search.

and Google clearly says that automatic commands are not allowed

    Best Regards

I do not think they affect ranking.
Competitors can not do these searches to affect your ranking neither.

It wont affect your ranking at all. Your ranking is based off good/bad SEO techniques.

That is exactly what I think

But the only thing which is confusing me is that google is taking site: and link: as automatic commands and they tell webmasters that automatic commands generated by softwares and others means are not at all allowed.

No penalization will apply. These tools are there for a reason and it is to check.

They are just trying to prevent people from misusing/over-exploiting their system...that's all.

It has nothing to do with downgrading your rankings or serps.

It won't affect your ranking, google make sure that query doesn't comes from any bots. If it can improve your site rank, i think query wars will begin :)

Correct, but the manual typing of site: and link: is also detected by Google sometimes as automatic and you have to enter captcha to continue ( I am sure this has happened with everyone )
but looks like it is clear that they ask for captcha only for :
