I own a small business and advertise on big G. quite a bit.

I have added my 6 offices in Google maps. It's been about 3 months now and still don't rank for any of the 6 locations.

I found that 2 companies ( biglocal and elocallisting, both .com) offer local listings for about $89.00 a month for up to 10 keywords.

What is it that they can do , that I can't???

    Thanks in advance

P.S. I looked around for a more appropriate thread to post this in, but came short. If this is not the appropriate spot, mods, please move it and accept my honest apologies.

OK -- here is an example which I hope you will understand better:

Search Google for "Sacramento DJs" or "DJs in Sacramento, CA" (with or without "CA" or "California").

Look at the title of my business: "DJ MC Sacramento Wedding DJs"

notice the title of my company name has the geographic location included!

(also you need to perform the required SEO on your web site, with proper HTML Meta Tags that include: Title, Content=Description, Content=Key Words, etc)

See my web site (in signature below) for an example of how a very crude site (designed in 1998) can still be on top of SERP with proper SEO & Google Mapping.
