Hi, I have a webpage which sells some stuff. I use affiliaters and I separate the sales sites for them, but the content is the same. So I used a "no index, no follow" meta tag. (I'm sure I used the right tag). However, my site got indexed both by Yahoo! and Google, and actually got page rank of 4 (a lot of backlinks from affiliaters, which is not supposed to be counted as backlinks either...). So, now I'm worried that my main site(PR4 also) would be considered as a spam site. So far both are indexed and the site with "no index" actually does not show up on the search result(my main one does) , so it's good so far. However, should I be worried? Is it normal? What should I do now? Any advice would be appreciated.
Hopefully you are aware that it is "noindex, nofollow" and NOT "no index,no follow". If not that might explain how it got indexed.
I know that, I didn't remember the right tag off the top of my head and it's witten like that. But as I wrote I'm sure that it's not the tag problem. Thanks.
if the web page is live the its will index by google.. so better is work with robot.txt in it can specfiy any page or dir not index
If your page was already indexed by Google when you added the <meta> noindex, you can request a URL removal via Google's webmaster tools and you should be fixed after a week or so. The <meta> noindex will prevent it from being indexed again.
