I have a ClickBank storefront product:

    http://www.cbautomate.net

Right now I am developing the next release, which includes RSS feed, mod rewrite and more.

Would this make a good product to sell on CB?

Would anyone want to promote it?

    Let me know please.....

Clickbank "stores" fail badly....That's the same as promoting the whole marketplace, which is useless.

People aren't going to visit a store the same way as they're going to visit Amazon or eBay. You *could* create stores that are focused around a particular niche (say "Hypnotism" or "Aromatherapy or "Cooking"), but the whole marketplace is just too broad.

I have thought about this also, but consider this:

    1) The product has an "adsense" style ad system. You can even run image ads.

    2) What if I added a "niche" component to the storefront? For example, an administrator could choose one or two categories to promote?

    Thanks!

I think you should let it unique and innovative. Then if it sells well, other vendors in clickbank will copy yours and then publish it in clickbank, then you have more competitors. Do remember that the clickbank doesn't protect copyright.

    1) Where are you going to run these ads? On other people's sites? Clickbank already offers such a feature.

    2) That's what I'd do, as I mentioned in my first post. A niche store might work quite well.

With CB Automate, you can place ads wherever you want. I realize that ClickBank has an "ad" feature already, but it leaves much to be desired.

The ad system in CB Automate is much more flexible, provides tracking statistics and you can even create image based ads.

There's the added value, in my opinion.

If you had ever promoted CB product successfully, you had never wasted your time into such a product.
May be my words are too harsh but fact is that CB products need a good presell aspect to have good amount of sales.

Think this way, if you are an affiliate who use CB automate, how you are going to promote your site?

I appreciate your opinion, that's why I posted here, but my question was rather nor not this would make a good product to sell in the CB marketplace itself.

As for the usefulness of the software, I have already sold several copies to very satisfied customers.

Based on the response in this thread, we have launched CB Automate 3.0 which includes many added features such as:

    * Niche selection - only promote products in your store front from categories that you choose.
    * Featured products - Single out a great selling product n your niche and promote it on your site.
    * Custom meta and title tags - easily edit pages titles along with meta descriptions and keywords!

All of the other great features such as the marketplace feed import script and ad system remain intact. I've sold several copies to very satisfied customers.
