Ya directories are a good start, but you need to realize that directories should only be a very small part of your marketing campaign. You also have a good start with the forums, but some others you may want to try are social bookmarking, press releases, article submission, exchaning links, blog commenting, and social networking such as twitter and myspace.

How did you manage to list it in a few thousand directories? Did you do this yourself or use some kind of automated technique?

kbeus has some good tips and ideas you can try. Take a look at his list, pick a couple that interest you, then try it out and see what happens. Sometimes it takes some trial and error depending on the site.

    Hello HostingFresh,

There are several things that you need to worry about when it comes to marketing your website.

First, may I ask what type of site you have, what is your URL, and what is your niche? This is going to be really important when it comes to analyzing your sites to see what is going on with it.

Lets first talk about your back links that you said. You said you have all sorts of back links, this really is only going to help increase your PR as well as page ranking on the search engines. Now, while this is an important step to marketing, we really need to know how competitive your niche is and what keywords you are targeting for those back links to see how competitive those keywords are.

Now, while you are working on your back links, I noticed you said you had a blog, you should really start working on article marketing, this not only build back links that you are looking for but also will bring traffic back to your blog which will then convert it to your site.

Please get us that information and we will be happy to give you a free analysis of your site and tell you what we as a development and marketing company feel you can work on and where you need to focus marketing time and money at.

    Best of luck to you.

At first you need to know who are your competitors in order to achieve your goal. Because nowadays, we have many competitors in internet marketing. You should be able to have a good ad so that your website will be more traffic than the others.

Well first off when I visit your site your title tags are not very SEO friendly and you lack content. You should have descriptive keyword variations of what that page is about in your title tags and in your page content. Research your niche using the google keyword tool and make your title tags and content body have variations of your keywords of what the page is about.

EX: Your home page title tag is HostingFresh...this is good for branding but not for SEO and those Google Rankings. You should describe what your page is about in the title. Such as Windows Hosting Plans, Affordable Windows Hosting Plans or whatever your niche is. Also make the title tag unique and catchy because this is seen in the search results so make it where people want to click on it.

Also you have about 3 sentences of text on your home page. You need to add a few hundred more words to your page that talks about what your page is about.

I would also try to do something different that will make your website stand out from the crowd and get some more links. You have to make your site easy to share and worth sharing. This will bring links and get people talking. Do something that Go Daddy isn't doing or something different and unique that will make a name for your site.

^^ I did it manually. If you would like the list of sites that I used u can pm me. It does take alot of time but the best thing about submitting to directories is it takes months and months for most of the bigger ones that have PR3+ so it is a submit and forget thing, but even if you take a break in marketing for a week or two you will still be building backlinks.

    I agree.
you should try and get a good balance. There is no secret one method. But quality content on your site, blogging, article submission will be a great starting point.

Create a list of all sites relevent to your niche, your product and your target demographic and use this list for a strategic link building campaign, also look at who is linking in to your competitors and add those sites to the list.

I think the key word for link bulding had to be "relevent"

    Good luck :)

the main thing i think is link building but they have to be from high pr websites to get a good ranking your self pointless getting a link from crap websites coz its worthless. needs to be a good quailty link.

Whilst higher pr links are good, search engines like to see a natural variation of links in there, so don't discount getting links from lower pr sites. That said if they are going to be from lower pr sites, you must make sure what is on the other end is relevent to your niche. This is why article submission and blogging are good because you control what is on the other end. As long as it is relevent its fine.
