Why? She(probably,don't attack me immediately)needs help and posted her url,what is wrong with that? It's not an affiliate link or a scam way to advertise her services or website. It looks fine to me,what's your CTR? Maybe you should remove the adsense unit located in the right sidebar and put it below each article.Visitors don't know what to do when they read the article and will probably click on your ads.
You should experiment all these below explained three things or experiment one by one. 1. On left side, you have a recipes box above Google text ads on main page. Put those recipes box under Google ads. Bring Google ads on above of Recipe box. 2. The second thing is, you have on right side a picture and under it Google ads. Bring those ads above and put that picture below. 3. The 3rd thing is put a Google image ad in replacement of picture on right side and remove Google text ads under this picture. Hope any one thing or all things will work with you.
I agree... That is a bit low for that niche....try testing positions and you'll see which positions are giving you the highest CTR. You can improve your CTR only by testing various positions and various color schemes.
By the way, sometimes I get nice prices on clicks, so contrary to what some people think it is not necessary a low paying niche.
Well I also got one time a 1.35$ click in the humor niche,and in that niche clicks were usually between 0.05$-0.10$ a click.
