My daily norm of $10-$20 in Adsense just spiked to over $150 today. Will this raise any red flags in Google's Adsense department? I e-mailed them a week or so ago explaining that I was going to begin some hefty advertising campaigns, and that a spike would just be my advertising working.... If they ban me, can't I just prove to them that I sent the e-mail?
I would contact google. In my experience letting them know saves a lot of headaches. I had some people clicking on my ads way too much so i emailed google and they said thanks for letting us know blah blah blah. At the end of the month they removed a few clicks but overall I think the fact I let them know saved my ass
CRUD (If it IS a clickbomb!!)!!!!!!! I got the exact same thing!!!!! $164.44 yesterday from 619 clicks!!! That's almost 2/3rd of my whole months earnings so far, from AdSense!! A normal day is about $3.00 due to YPN!!! Yes, I E-Mailed them!!!!! MY CTR was 5.14%. 1% is average. Twan, did the earnings show up under a Channel? Mine didn't, and I got just about everything linked to using Channels. *Checks E-Mail for termination notice.*
Yes, it will raise red flags. Yes, they will look at your clicks more closely at the end of the month. No, it won't matter that you emailed them. And no, they don't care if you have the exact email. Emailing them ahead of time about potential problems is not a miracle defense against Adsense's catch-all excuse for bannign people, that much-discussed "invalid clicks". One question: Was the spike on your Myspace site? If so, you have reasons to be worried.
Instead of making me worry, give me some good news. I just did heavy advertising today. If I get banned because I advertised like nuts, that's stupid.
if i were you, i'd be more worried that you just posted in a public forum, which is read by at least one Adsense rep, that you're only 15 years old - a violation of the TOS .. you should hurry and followup with a "..i was only joking.. i'm actually 47.."
All account information is under a legal U.S. citizen over the age of 18. I could care less about what I say in DigitalPoint. Yes. It was MySpace bulletins. No. It was not one random 500,000 friend account with 2 minute/each posts. Advertising vs. Spamming 1) Spamming consists of sending unsolicited messages/e-mails. Did not. 2) Spamming consists of sending multiple bulletins from one account. Did not. 3) Each bulletin generated no more than *4* hits. Which means that over 4,000 bulletins were generated. Some may consider that spamming, however I got this 'bulletin' out to over 50,000 MySpace users. I doubt people saw this bulletin more than once. It's just, alot of people saw it.
