Without even having used one i would say a service that at least allows multiple titles and a change or two of the description that they will submit for you too.

Id advise against a submission service that submits one title only to all of the directories.

    Try this: http://greatdirectories.org/submission.html

It make sense to use submission services only if its directories list doesn't contain thousands directories with PR0. Quality of directories is important

I say submitting manually to some related and high quality directories and not every single mockup that people make. Better that way ;)

You could also try using different titles/descriptions/keywords etc. :D

Yes, having it done manually is recommended.

Manual submissions with multiple title and descriptions and spread around couple of days is very good.
Submitting them in one push is a big no-no!

Read the sticky to find more directory list:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1226782

I maintain another list (in my SIG). It's true that manual submission can take time and is costlier than automated / semi-automated submission, but it's better to spend more money that will yield results rather than throwing your money on spamming directories.

Think of it this way, free directory owners are providing a 'completely free' service, all they want in return is 'traffic and visitors' so that they can get money from advertisers, if you are using automated software for these submissions, you are making their business nonviable and they will be forced to shut down the directories.

Manual submissions are cool, and you can find good prices if you search a little. But it's true, you gotta make them change the anchor text.

Directory submission can be a very useful tool in your SEO toolbox. Not all submission services are created equal.

I have just compiled a list of Directory Submission Services. The list is made up of well established submission companies along with sites that rank well in Google for "directory submission service".

There are many directory submission services which are really effective and free or paid. You can just go on this forum and visit: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=267170

Manual doesn't mean quality. Last year I used manual submission from some Indian company. And it wasn't cheap really. But I didn't get the expected result. PR and sites traffic were not change.
This year for other my site I used another submission service - not manual. And I have to say I'm satisfied.

So check the information carefully before using any Submission services.

paid directory submission service is only wastage of your money,,,, it never helps.... I paid someone for 500+ directosy submission,,,though he submitted to these diirectories but without any benefit.

I would strongly suggest of not falling prey to such useless services

Your statement is quite ambiguous but is incorrect on both counts.

It could mean that submitting to pay for inclusion directories is useless, but I wouldn't agree with you. There are plenty of good quality directories where paying for a review makes sense.

At the same time, if you mean paying people to do directory submission is waste of money (which makes more sense in the context of this thread); you are mistaken here.

You should outsource directory submissions IF you think your time is worth more than the amount directory submission company is asking. You should outsource directory submissions because directory submission services would have access to more directories and they will keep their lists updated and since they do this work for living, they will be faster at completing this task.

I agree there are plenty of directory submission companies that will submit to dead directories just because they have high PR and you won't benefit from the submissions, but there are many others who have better understanding of the directory industry. Choose your outsourcing partner carefully and you will see a difference.
