    Hi,

    I have just started a lyrics database site called Lyric Cat.

    I designed and coded it all myself and some feedback on it would be great!

    I also made this mascot/logo for it (after I designed the layout sadly). It doesn't fit in with this layout, but if I ever change the design I will make sure it does look good on there, cause I think this wee cat is great!

    Adsense placement could be improved - the adsense block in the middle could be moved to the left menu I think.

    The hover effects on the menus look nice.

    Looks nice so far, keep on adding content. Good Luck :)

    P.S. and I expected to see a cat when I opened the site :D The logo you designed looks cute, try to add it if possible. I'm sure that it will attract your visitors (girls especially).

    The design looks nice. Clean and simple.

    I agree with blichev. Improve your adsense placement.

    I also expected to see a cat on the website.

    Yeah, I designed the cat after I made the website, and it doesn't really look like it should be there if I put it in the design that is there at the moment.
    I will more than likely re-design it at some point to incorporate her into the design.

    I know the adsense placement needs a bit of work. I'd rather work on that once I have constant traffic (so I can test out different placements/sizes easily)

    I really do want to work in the cat mascot as part of the design, but really that would be best done through a whole re-design which I really can't be bothered with at the moment :rolleyes: I have ideas of what i'd do with it, but its getting round to doing them thats the problem.

    its clean & simple design, it would be great if you can integrate the cat design to your current site layout

    notes: TS, dont forget to add more resources/content on your left sidebar (under search/affiliates) box :D

    Yeah I probably will add something there. An advert probably once the site is going. Might add statistics (so the amount of songs/albums/artists that are in the site). Can't really think of anything else that would be useful to have there. Any suggestions?

    Hmm, maybe. I'd have to implement a rating system for top rated though :rolleyes:, maybe in the future. For now this will do.

    What further steps?

    Actually, I should really fix that "advanced search" part of the site sometime soon...
