As far as i know now a days all laptop comes with Vista inbuilt. Why don't you remove it and get XP license version for that DON.
Because it's not for me. I won't have physical access to it, so it needs to have XP recovery discs/partition etc... I bought an Eee PC 901 a few months ago (for myself) that has XP, it's a pity ASUS don't make full size laptops with XP too. It doesn't matter why
Expect Asus Eee PC & Lenovo S series its really hard to find XP preloaded in new machine, yeah its sad.
You can try Toshiba Satellite A305-S6825, it is really a very good one, though it also comes with vista, yet you can change the OS by using the recovery disc. BTW, you can find the configuration of this laptop here
Well, I have heard that some laptops come without any operating system and you can load any of your choice. I think this facility is also in Dell ! - Digital -
How about this one --> Fujitsu LifeBook ? Just browse the site, there are plenty of options to choose from...
Problem solved I made the purchase 3 days ago (on behalf of someone else). Includes Vista and XP downgrade on disc. The end user is happy
Get an MSI wind notebook. I just bought mine for $500 and comes with 2 gig of memory, XP and Intel atom processor
