[Journal] The Two Way Street Project - 60 Days - No Limit

Alright guys and gals, I've been an active member of this forum for quite a bit of time now and after seeing a few journals I figured why not create a journal of my own.

However, this isn't your ordinary journal its got a few twists and perks to it...

I've dubbed it project two way street because it will be two projects combined into one. It's sort of a test or a comparison between two different niches to see how well the products in it convert and see how much they earn me after 60 days.

I will use all the information I've learned over the past 2-3 months to promote these sites...

One of these topics will be very competitive, but a tried and tested niche that is known to be successful and the other will be a less established niche but that I have no background information on conversions.

There isn't a set amount that wish to make after the 60 day period, but a fair few bucks would be nice.

Site 1: This site will be full of content. It is in a less competitive niche, but one that I know a fair bit about from the damn boring lessons I have on it at school. I will promote a variety of products on it including those through CJ (Commission Junction) and CB (ClickBank).

    AND

Site 2: This will be a site in a very competitive niche, however this niche is more of an "urgent" niche and a buyer would be generally more inclined to buy. Again, it will be full of content. I will be promoting both CB (ClickBank) and CPA (Cost Per Action) offers on this site.

    So, what's the twist?

Whatever I do to one site I must do to the other. That is the rule to ensure both sites are tested somewhat fairly. For example, if I produce 10 articles and submit them to EZA for one niche I must do exactly the same for the other.

I hope this will be a good study for those of you who are new to affiliate marketing to compare a competitive niche to a not very competitive niche and also see what can be done from scratch within 60 days.

I will update this journal with text atleast once every two days if not once every day to tell you what I've done and what plans I have. I will also be posting video content once or twice a week on my new blog (address is below).

I hope everyone can learn a little something from this :).

My blog is located @ Fifteen Year Marketer

    Peace out,

    Yousef | edrectory

Hi edrectory! Should be interesting to see what you come up with. Are you going to use FREE traffic sources only?

I'll use free taffic sources at the start and I'll eventually progress onto some PPC if I feel the need.
    .
    Thanks man :)

Thanks. I'll be looking forward to writing them.

Thanks :p Well 60 days isn't that long, only 2 months but we'll see how it goes.

In terms of an update I've almost done the landing page for the first site. As I want some I guess you could say "high quality" sites so I'll be done creating both in about 3/5 days I reckon :).

I'm tired and off to bed, peace out :).

I'll hopefully share with you tommorow my "map" for SEO & Backlinking plus networking and subscriber ideas :p.
