I have heard some very bad reviews on Yahoo's hosting. I strongly suggest not to go near it for the ratings are far to low to consider joining them.
I do not like yahoo to do business with. I advertised once, spent $50 and that was enough. They are not going to get more money out of me. Thanks, Hector
That's bad. I've never used Yahoo services nowadays, and my Yahoo mail is left inactive for so many years now.
Only thing I've used Yahoo for recently was the $1.99 domain names. You have to have a different Yahoo login for each one as they only offer one per customer.
it isn't good news...i don't actually use most of yahoo services, i much prefer google which offers useful services..
Yes, that pretty much sucks! Any slight mistake on any of their services can get your whole account and services associated with it terminated. For example, if you violate flickr's TOS they'll terminate your email associated with your flickr account and if you don't have a back up of your important messages then your f'ed! Google wouldn't do that to you.
they are not good in hosting , use some reputed companies for hosting . recently they have shut down Geocities too
Yahoo are a different package to deal with, the adcentre is very faulty, when I last used it, at least on 4 occasions the ads "miraculously" disappeared and reappeared as i sent a complaint off. In addition to the advertising, the hosting is also faulty, going down from time to time and when you send a message concerning why this happened, they took days to reply.
It is hard to believe that an argument in yahoo chat room....may be with a company employee, would result in the termination of an email account! If that indeed is really true.....wow...what an excellent customer support service! Btw...I hope he was not Jerry Yang who stood up to you...in that room Regards, RightMan
It's very hard to see what Yahoo brings to the table. I think having a major competitor to Google is vital but what does Yahoo give you that Google doesn't? I see know value in them as a search engine especially as they push paid directory listings that are way over the top in price. And as for hosting - no way.
I currently have a hosting with yahoooo.....which expires next month ... After reading ur rewiew i will not continue with yahoo
