Yes, you can make traffic from youtube without creating a video. I just reply on other message so you can read this: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1329732
I would have thought that if you want to take full advantage of youtube, creating a video would be a must?
You can get traffic without creating a video but believe me you will get much more traffic if you create a video and besides, videos are not that difficult to make. You can make a powerpoint presentation lol
I would suggest creating videos... It's gotten me tons of traffic, especially if you put your link: 1. On your YouTube Profile 2. In the video description(s) 3. At the end of the videos (black screen with URL on it for 2-3 seconds)
You can get targeted traffic from youtube without making a video, but its a little time consuming. Lets say you have a blog or a forum. Take a video from youtube and embed it into your site. Make sure that the comments are positive. Any negative or rude comments should be removed at once. After the video has received several favorable comments, go to youtube and send the author of the video a message. Say something like this. Make it a point to say something really positive about the video. The author should feel good that he/she made something worth while and that people liked the video. Sometimes (not all of the time), the author of the video will sign up on the forum, or post a blog comment and say "thank you for the nice comments." Its human nature to go where we feel welcome or wanted. The positive comments on the video are a way of making the author feel that he/she is welcome and liked.
youtube has a blog, if people knew how to use yt properly, the traffic potential is enormous. Things like video responses and commenting on channels and others videos, etc. Just need to put some effort into it And don't put some lame ass comment like, "come to my channel and learn how to generate 100 leads per day for your biz" ... Make it very subtle, like "I've got a video with a few different tactics related to this topic, I'd be curious to your input on it, etc..." You'll get a lot more views and clicks this way..
