Irrelevant adsense ads

I've started a massage website and it keeps displaying ads about PPC advertising and classifieds directories. Any idea why this is?

There are plenty of keywords and pretty much all the content is about massaging etc.

It is possible that what you are seeing is the relevant to the dart cookie. Have you opted out of it, if not what websites have you visited lately example have you been here today before you checked your website if so there is the answer about ppc ads and classified. The dart cookie from google will pick what you have been surfing about, and show ads that sites that you looked at.

 

give it time and it should correct itself
when ever i add a new post it happens to me at first then corrects by itself.

 

Filter out those ads using the google competitive ad filter

Two questions, firstly how can I delete my dart cookie?

Secondly, I see I can use a competitive filter to PREVENT certain websites from displaying, is it possible to do the opposite and tell Google what category my site belongs in so it can display ads from that category.

 

Normally, this is the case. To OP: Let us know if it still hasn't corrected.

 

I suggest that you do section targeting to get relevant ads. Competitive ad filter will also help to block ads that are not relevant.

 

check your site, SEO friendly URL or TITLE only can bring relevant ads. adsense bot are checking Title first then URL keywords then description ..etc check that your site pictures name and Alt there you should put any word related to your site content.

 

check you webpage tags. also the webpage title since adsense bot also will see the tittle og the page and display ads about it..
