Your site is in test folder with note: <snip> So if you plan to resubmit make sure your site is clean and place note for DMOZ editor to notify him of that. (hopefully by posting note in public I haven't broken any DMOZ holy rule for which I'll shall be burned at stake )
So you had to quote everything so even if I fixed my post it would remain , anyway I haven't disclosed any editor info and everyone at DMOZ can access same data so rephrasing would server little purpose in protecting editor's identity and my bad knowledge of English would only cause some misinterpretation. Beside those guidelines date back to Netscape Communications Corporation! I believe they no longer run DMOZ.
thanks for the info, I agree, I have about 45 days ago redesigned my site and now most is unique content.
I'll try once more - from the Editor Guidlines linked in an earlier post: The content of the ODP Editor Forum, Editors' Notes, and Editor-to-Editor email or Feedback are private and intended only for internal use by ODP editors. Editors may not publish or disclose quotes from these sources to anyone other than other editors or the ODP staff. http://www.netscape.com/about/ Netscape.com is a service of Netscape Communications and Weblogs, Inc. and part of the AOL Network owned and operated by AOL, LLC, a Time-Warner company. Instead of rolling your eyes at everyone, you should try opening them.
I dont edit in that category but I would not get any hopes up on getting that site listed in the ODP. At a simple glance I was directed to affiliates at almost every turn.
I just gave a look at your site, you are going to need unique and quality content. From what I have seen, it does not contain any unique content, and there is a lot of affiliate links and adsense ads all over the site.
Nothing personal Ivan, but with your attitude I wouldn't be surprised to see you complaining somewhere down the road about being removed as an editor. Best of luck to you.
I'm beginning to wonder why the criteria for site inclusion is so strict when it's plainly clear that their criteria for editor selection is not...
Why do you think that? The only difference between Ivan and many others is the fact that he is honest about it.
Because, in my opinion, his attitude was appalling and he apparently saw nothing wrong with it. The fact that he was removed as editor tells me that there are at least some limits... I did say "just a glimmer of hope"...
Since I didn't announced it yet wouldn't this be violation of DMOZ communication guidelines? So what your saying is persons with mental disabilities should be locked up and removed from society? Just because somebody is a moron (in this case me) he should be removed? I had much higher opinion of you. Shouldn't a person be judged by his actions rather then his words? Or you think Stalin was a nice guy? Only problem is that big part of my edits were in Croatian, they might as well be in Romani since there aren't any metas which speak Croatian. If you say so, as I see it only thing that will happen is categories I use to maintain filling with unreviewed websites - ok games team is pretty active but world hrvatski has single editor covering all and some other categories which also contain my website can take months to update and I plan to submit new sites (not mine) and changes regularly to categories I helped create/build - I only hope four new categories I had in test will get listed (I don't even care about single link I got there to my website) and some 40 new links in there will not go to waste.
