A question about Search Engines - Please Reply fast.

Hello. I'm unsure of whether this is the right place to post this thread, but here it goes:

I'm about to create a new blog on blogger. I wanted to know a few things.

I will be having a few main posts on the home page which will never move. (I'll set an advanced date).

So, with those main posts on the front page, if i post daily (which wont come to the home page)... WILL they be tracked by search engines?

Also, will they be indexed in the search engines and counted?
Will it not allow my PR, etc to increase?

They will be counted, but just to be sure, since your site is new, that you submit those pages to bookmarking sites like Digg and Propeller to ensure your site gets indexed.

My last question as of now.

In my blog, I'll be having a Monthly News thing. Like I'll be creating 1 post for the month's news, and i'll edit it everyday, adding the news of my niche to it.

Like I create a post called "Monthly News of May 2009".

I start it on May 1st and then everyday i add news of each day to it.

Like:
1st Day:
NAME OF POST - May 2009
May 1 : News.. . . . TEXT

then the next day, i EDIT THE POST and add that days news to it:
for the 2ns day:
NAME OF POST - May 2009
May 1 : News.. . . . TEXT
May 2 : news of that day. TEXT

and so on until the month is over. so, will that post be indexed and will the indexed post edit itself and put the new text on the SE?

Will it keep updating the post everyday on the SE, or should i create 1 post every day?

 

I havent used blogger and dont know if it allows sitemaps, if yes, you can set change ratio on your post, and if sitemaps are not available, i would create separate posts and dont forget to get links if your blog is new and google doesnt index it everyday.

It depends on your blog, if you have good links and fresh content, yes it will be reindexed often.

 

Everytime I make a new post on my blog I submit it to some social bookmarking sites. It will make sure that the new post gets indexed right away by the search engines. Google only knows about roughly 20% of what is on the web but this will make sure that it does know about your new post.

 

Also, make sure you have the blog properly pinged. It will index you properly.
