Hello, i would like to buy some .pro domain name, but Im not a licensed business professional or business entity. Can i buy some .pro domain even thought? Anyone idea?
You have to be a "professional." Most registrars will make you send proof that you're a doctor, lawyer, etc. before proceeding. Some will let you register without and then make you send the proof later to be allowed to renew your domain.
Its easy to bypass the rules. You only need to used your friend name whose job is professional such as doctor/engineer to apply for it.
If you would like to move in a whitehat way, you must register using any professional friend's account.Or in blackhat via fakin.but its risky.
According to this, the requirements have loosened up a bit: http://www.registrypro.pro/pro/eligibility.shtml Still requires you to be a licensed professional - but you don't have to be an attorney, etc. now.
You still neeed to be "Admitted to or licensed by a government certification body or jurisdictional licensing entity recognized by a governmental body that regularly verifies the accuracy of its data". Pro's are easier to get (you can fake info) but if you get audited (ie: a competing site complains) you may not be able to keep it. I'd like to get something like webmaster.pro or coder.pro (examples) but it's not worth building a site on a name that's too easy to lose.
