any Idea,
how can create more followers in Twitter. I have 2000 following and only 120 followers.

Aaron111 - just try to find out the members that matches your favorites and follow him and invite them to follow u. IN this way, u will get genuine and good followers.

well I found a service where I got 100 new followers to my account on the first day

 

I found out about it today. It seems to be some kind of "chain".

The concept makes sense. I don't really know if it is going to work or not.

As far as the value of the followers I don't think they'll be "valuable".

We aren't big twitter fans and still haven't seen a the great marketing value in it unless you are/become a big brand, Hollywood star, public figure, etc that people will naturally want to follow.

As for now it has generated some back links from our followers and an article we submitted on "how twitter could boost your business" was picked up by some big sites and brought a few hundred clicks but personally the only value I see in it is syndication and some traffic generation for now.

Yes, now twiter and facebook are in lead after the Google.

Just collecting numbers is pointless - you want to get some followers who will actually read what you post.
Sticking 2000 people on your follow list, and hoping they'll follow you back just looks spammy.
The main way to get followers is - BE INTERESTING.
On top of that - engage with the people you follow - send replies to them, retweet then when they post something interesting.
Oh - and unfollowing people that don't follow you back won't get you more followers - just means you'll be following fewer people.

 

I agree. You have to be interesting and then people will start to follow you. I tried using a service to get a bunch of followers but I got some that I didn't want at all. Now I am just writing interesting posts and I am getting new real estate followers everyday!

 

hey wait a minute when I hit 2000 on follow and those following twitter just stopped addingg to my account I get 5 to 10 followers daily but Twitter wont add them ........ so now what .........

 

Try to update your twitter account with good latest information people will automatically follow you.

I find if you can get people talking to you, they will promote you on Follow Fridays. I have actually made quite a few contacts on Twitter. Used to hate the site and couldnt see any benefits of having it as it can be kinda boring.

But if you ask questions of people most will answer. I also get rid of people who arent following me. But be careful as quite a few people will follow you, then you follow them, then they dump you lol. I found this site, thats really great for weeding people out.

create an inviting Twitter profile page, it will increase your chances of being followed.

 

There must be some kind of benefit. But I'm not seeing it.
