I have an SEO addon for FireFox and notice my sites PR at 0 today. However, when I check backlinks there are more, and i've moved up for a few of my keywords. any idea what is going on?
Maybe you should wait for a while and check again. Some times it takes time. There may be a delay in their system.
yeah checked a ton including iwebtools. it shows most datacenters down and the few that are online are giving me a PR of 0. also, just check backlinks again and it dropped from almost a thousand to 8. wtf?
tbh i've noticed issues with 'backlinks' in the past. It seems that there are thousands of links to our site, but google doesnt count them... im struggling to figure out why, unless it's to help defend our #1 market competitor Viacom....
guys it doesnt matter where i check it, either the db's are down or I am getting 0.. really starting to freak out here. I should have at least 1k backlinks and a PR of 3 if not higher.. UPDATE: another site of mine just dropped from PR 4 - 1.. with no backlinks showing... wth is going on?
this cant be happening.. i was a PR 5 wtfh!!! and my backlinks are still there.. i see people linking in.. im tracking those in Analytics, but google says there are only 8 sites. Analytics says over 800 different addresses linking in.
The "link:site" command on google does not include every backlinks to your site. Have you checked your backlinks from google webmasters tool?
I have seen other members here, complaining about such behavior and their site also getting dumped to 0, very recently. I hope these results are from some temporary exercise and not something weird google has found to be permanently included in its PR rankings algo! Regards, RightMan
Google becomes more unpredictable with these kinds of intermittent updates and this very fact gives its due importance
What about google Toolbar with the PR checker directly from google?. They might be going under some Issue, maybe re-scanning stuff so their DB might not be showing every backlink. Maybe the places where you had your backlinks have been dropped by goole (hard to think so, but you never know), so google itself can't find the links. Maybe you should relax a little and wait a few days, probabily everything gets back to normal.
