I'm not sure what you think you have won.

Unfortunately, they will probably leave you feeling all messed up if they find out that you have it. This is a very clear case of trademark violation if you put a web site up using that domain.

But i think you should claim to GD that if this one was not available then why your system showed available????????

You should claim some money from GD with the saying that your system allowed me to purchase this domain. so now i must be given this or refund me in double or tripple.

I don't see any use. It is Google. Just a trade make name. Will only worth if there is traffic coming to it. Good things are not always that cheap!

It just goes to show how efficient the system at GD are!

I fail to understand why no one bothered to check and rectify its availability.
Even if OP was able to get it registered, I do not think he would have been able to go far...with it! :(

    Regards,

    RightMan

Well at least Godaddy took the effort to rectify this and visit my blog and leave a comment

Sorry about the trouble. To maximize our customers’ chances of registering available domain names, GoDaddy.com processes orders even if there might be problems communicating with the registry (to determine availability). We think false-positive domain name registrations are better than false-negatives.
In the rare instance when someone orders a domain name and it’s unavailable, we automatically refund the order. If you have questions, we offer 24/7 support via and at 480-505-8877.
