    Hello friends,

today i came across a site whose Home Page has PR0 but the Contact Us and Query page has PR 4. Can anyone tell me the reason? the site is http://niperraebareli.org/index.php

I heard it first time either, but i think that can be because of contact us page having quality backlinks then homepage ?

May have been a hand-edit for homepage. That happens when google suspects the website is selling links. PR4 on contact us page is a different story, it might be a fake PR achieved with redirects.

Is there any way of knowing which websites have been redirected to a particular domain?

Could be a lot of things... I've noticed some wierd stuff lately w/ the toolbar.

About mid March I made a bunch of footer changes on our site. My home page is PR7 and typically the pages that live 1 level below the home page (those in my global nav) are all PR6. When the PR update came out a couple weeks later around the 1st of April, all of the pages that I had adjusted footers links for on my site suddenly went to PR1 at all of Google's datacenters. Freaked me out!

I got on the phone w/ a Google engineer in CA that we work with. He took a peek at my site from their end and said everything was fine. I was concerned I might be under some type of penalty, but he assured me everything appeared to be fine and to just ride it out. I just chalked it up to changing my footers mid-March right in the middle of when they were taking the snapshot of my pages 'real' PR to map to the toolbar PR for the update at the beginning of April. Perhaps they hadn't had a chance to recrawl the site several times and recacluate the PR distribution.

Then mid-April (about 2 wks later) all of those pages went to PR2 at all of Google's datacenters... I thought, "Another PR update just for me two weeks later? Weird."

Then just yesterday I noticed they are all back at PR6 again at all of Google's datacenters...

Sooooo... Either I have had 3 PR updates this month for my site OR there are problems with the toolbar (it was as if the toolbar were not giving me credit for any redirects - most of these pages inbound are redirects because we went to extensionless page names in Dec).

My site is getting crawled by Google literally every hour of the day (almost every minute of the day) because we have 1,200,000+ inbound links...

Very strange, but relieved to have my little green toolbar PR showing 6/10 again on those pages. I really don't give much thought to toolbar PR but when you see it go from PR6 to PR1, it will freak you out!

This happens usually, some forums having different PR for different threads. that depends on the no of views that page takes.
