Indexed pages keeps going up and down?

I wonder why the number of pages indexed for one of my sites keeps going up and down daily. Is it normal?

By the way, this is not the problem with "site" command. When more pages are indexed I get more visitor and vise versa so it must be the real indexing of the site.

Do you have any/many outgoing links? DID you have? Have you run co-op or linkvault?

I have the same problem. I just put a site up and got my sitemap downloaded and everything, google hasnt thrown me any errors or anything, but my hits dropped from 42 to 1, and my sitemap has only grown. I am waiting to see if the refresh this week brings my links back up.

Google has been acting up since last September. While it isn't "normal" it is the behaviour many see now. BigDaddy has added to this mess.

I also often see fluctations in number of indexed pages. I guess it is normal.
