I had a website with a PR4 and I had nothing on it,just redirected to another page.now I have added some subdomains with games and after just two weeks the PR went from PR4 to PR1.anybody have an explanation?
Page rank increase or decrease depends on the quality of the site.if your site has good content and stuff then there will be no effect on the page rank. no need to worry about your site page rank.keep on promoting your site on forums, social networking sites,... and implement all the seo off-page techniques.
I guess you might have purchased expired domain name with PR#4 and because you've not added content that is the reason the Page rank has been dropped.
I agree with Bobchrist's view that you must have purchased an expired domain name and the PR ranking is bound to drop as soon as google discovers the birth of your new site. I am surprised though for a fact that such instances usually have new PR starting from 0 and not directly 1! Regards, RightMan
It may be possible but there are also many ways to increase page rank. If you have a blog then you can also increase page ranks of your posts individually. There is a little code which you will add in your blog and your page rank for posts will increase individually and you can analyze individual posts for PR.
I think it may be because you might have lost some valuable backlinks. Try to get them back and you can get your PR back in the next update ?
sometimes PR fluctuates. Wait for a little while and in the next update you will probably get it back.
PR usually changes only after update every few months. If your domain had backlinks that it is very unlikely that the PR will drop just like that. Unless uncle Google....
This is wrong my men.Try to make a page with words that is not used often u will see that tend to get higher pr.Cause google finds unique content. All the others be patient google dance is about to end in 10 to 20 days then u will see ur true pr.
