I've sold a product through ebay and the buyer sent me the payment through paypal. I shipped the item to the buyer's paypal address. Now after 7 days, paypal has reversed the transaction and states the following reason : But the item has been shipped already. I didn't receive any information prior to this that I have to hold the shipment because of Paypal has to check with the buyer's bank. How can I claim the money from paypal?! Any idea?!
Provide them (paypal) all details regarding your sells through ebay including shipping details for further proceed and give them a phone call immediately. They surely going to help you in this. DON.
Definitely! PayPal is a stand up company. Ebay is their baby, so they will help you resolve the issue once they are presented with the facts. I have used numerous so-called "Gateways" and they are all scams. If PayPal doesn't help you with this I would be surprised. I will ONLY use PayPal for Internet transactions anymore. Many of these companies are information miners and just suck you dry for information to sell to other companies. I suggest calling them though. A REAL person will actually answer the phone.
Since PayPal and eBay are sister concerns, they can track the deals made there. Provide PayPal the documents they'll need to investigate the issue and details of your shipment.
Guys...the problem here seems to be different and not that of whether service/goods has been delivered or not! It is about a bank reversing the payment already made, since the account number was invalid....and that too, after seven days! Was the bank sleeping all this while! Paypal can perhaps help OP contact the buyer and mediate to help resolve the issue....ofcourse, only if the buyer's account is still active.. Regards, RightMan
It is a perplexing issue, I can say that much. Personally, I don't get involved with Ebay too much. Not that the company is bad, it's not, but the whole process is too involved for me. Too much hands on and too many "what if's?" to appeal to my senses. I know some people like that sort of thing though. Ultimately, you may have simply been burned by a con artist. I wish we had a magic answer for you, but I doubt that it can be resolved on this forum.
Are you sure it wasn't an echeque? Because Paypal have a system to ensure this doesn't happen. You can only send an Instand Bank Transfer if your bank is verified, and you have a credit/debit card on file to back up the funds if the bank transfer fails. Now if this isn't true, then you will still be able to pay with your bank - but by echeque. However, with echeque, you need to wait for it to clear. I suspect what happened was that you received an ecehque, didn't wait for it to clear, and the payment was reversed. If not, then I don't know what happened.
