Increase your bid and daily spending!
    Focus on benefits, not features.

Adwords only brings in lot of clicks , there seems to be very little money to be made in it by actually advertising products and services. Cost of Clicks seems greater than Benefits Derived, so it is not motivating at all.

I had the same problem recently, a lot of impressions and few clicks. My campaign was interrupted because I was using a brand name. All of my ads were disabled.

Your ads have to be highly targeted to the desired audience.
Make sure the keywords you choose are highly relevant.
And of course, the wording of your ads plays an important role to grab the attention of readers.

A high number of impressions with low clicks means that visitors who see your ad are not interested.
Making your keywords as specific to your product as possible.
Include one of your keywords in your ad text.
Use a strong call-to-action. Some call-to-action phrases are Buy, Purchase, Order, Sign up, Download...

You should target keywords longtail instead of short. Taht is porbably the problem. Use exact phrases for a test

Are the impressions from Google Search or other content related sites? I know that when presented on the Google Search my ctr is much higher than on the content sites.

Long tail phrases do seem to get the best results for quality. This lesson learned the hard way. Advertise for PC Games and you get a ton of clicks but not much for conversions. But use "Buy PC Games" or a product name the clicks may be fewer but the conversion much higher.

    Good Luck,

this is why i dont like pay per click. cost per action is the best because people strive to actually get you sales.

It's a common problem when people add lots of keywords to one campaign, when what they REALLY need is one ad group per product type. Focus your keywords on just one product to start with, and I would suggest around 50 keywords maximum for a proper test. Don't forget to break your keywords into broad, exact and phrase matching as well to save money on clicks.

1000 impressions a day don't really help if they are appearing on the 3rd and 4th pages of the results. Check to see your average position your ads are appearing.

    SunstarShop,

like HBL said, a lot of impressions and a few clicks means that the people searching for your keywords do not seem to be interested on your ad. Try to spice up your ad focusing on the benefits of what you are offering.

Also, I would suggest you target your adgroup to a specific set of common keywords, ex, if you are selling "black running shoes" the adgroup would look something like:

    black running shoes for her
    black running shoes for him
    black running shoes for kids
    cheap black running shoes

The common keyword would be: black running shoes.

Also, use broad, "exact" and [phrase] matches for each of your keywords.
So if we take the example above, your adgroup would have 4 broad keywords, 4 exact keywords and 4 phrase keywords.

The Quality Score is SUPER important. Google is lead by your campaign's QS to believe if you have good or bad campaigns running. A QS of less than 5 is a bad QS and 6+ is a good QS. You could check your quality score for each of your keyword by clicking on the magnifying glass right besides it, read Google's suggestion and then improve upon them.

Ok, that's it from me. Maybe you and everyone else knows this already, but this is basically what I follow for each of my campaigns. I hope this is of some help.
