Why so sloooooooooow?

Is this forum always so slow!? I've been clicking through a couple of pages and it must have taken me about 10 minutes! Lucky Firefox has multiple tabs these days or I might have fallen asleep entirely lol!

 

I also experienced that yesterday, but DP seems to be loading fast for me today.

 

Yep, facing the same problem.

Is database/server problem back?

Well, ya its working slowly from last 4 hours. But it is not taking 10 minutes t open a page.

It is generally opening in 10 seconds.

this issue has been talked about more than I can imagine, stop complaining, if you aren't patience then just leave, no body puts a gun in your face and ask you to come here. If the staff is gonna fix it, they will, creating a new thread about this crap is not gonna help or do anything

 

Lol sorry Project Mobius, although actually I disagree. The DP team might all be in an office somewhere with a super fast connection straight to the site and have no idea that the site is running slowly for the rest of the world. It is therefore the only 'decent' thing to do to let them know the score, otherwise they might wake up one day and everyone has gone and they have no clue what they did wrong.

If something is wrong it should be mentioned, not in a complaining way, but so it can be fixed and improved for everyone.

 

heavy load, bandwidth caps, database caching issues, you name it.

 

Well it was so about 30mins ago, but i guess they might have been purging some part of the site, either way its blistering fast now.

 

because there always thousands of people online, its not really surprising its slow sometimes.

 

i'm sure they will know when there are threads like this popping up every week

This is a webmasters forum. We do love speedy page loads. if it's slow, we talk about it.

Got a problem with that? Just move on and don't reply. Nobody puts a gun in your face and ask you to come here... did we?

 

The DP staff know about it, but there is nothing that can be done.

Just try refreshing the page, or come back in about 2 hours.

 

my internet connection is FAST and I still dp pages crawl to my desktop

 

Well for me it is just a bit slow,it takes about 5 seconds to load a page......but I am not complaining.

 

Digitalpoint is slow sometimes on my end, but for the most part it's pretty speedy.
