Well the chair I got now shouldn't even be deserved to be called a chair. It's a cushion with screws stick through tearing up my ass. Any suggestions on a chair that you really like an is a bargain? Anything without screws drilling holes in you would be great.
I got a nice one from target I believe, maybe like 40 bucks. It was leather and everything. Feels pretty nice too!
I found out earlier today that I got SlashDotted 3 weeks ago - it so happens to be about good chairs for computer users: http://ask.slashdot.org/askslashdot/06/06/23/1924214.shtml
I used to work for Steelcase years ago and now sit in a Herman Miller Aeron at my current job. I recommend finding a used, I mean pre-owned corporate level chair. You might get a $800 to $1200 chair for under $200 (at least you can in So. Cal). The office supply store chairs are made out of cardboard and cheap foam. If it's leather it's made from the skins of third world pigs. I usually buy cheap stuff but for long term wear and tear on my body, I'd spend the extra bucks. I have a $50 mouse just so I can keep typing away.
What do you guys think of this http://www.target.com/gp/detail.htm...544018-4626531?_encoding=UTF8&asin=B0006Z42GW or this http://www.target.com/gp/detail.htm...544018-4626531?_encoding=UTF8&asin=B0006Z42IA
I am actually looking for a great chair, considering I sit in one 13 hours a day, what exactly is a really really good chair?
I just bought myself a luxurious computer chair this weekend( leather and wood handles ) Cost me around $120 but its really nice. Will post a picture for you soon.
I've used a laptop since 1998. Get yourself a nice leather recliner, place it in front of the big screen TV and surround sound system, a nice quiet fan blowing to keep the summer heat minimal with an end table next to the recliner to place your mouse pad, mouse, a small lamp. Voila! The perfect work space. Kick back with the laptop while watching your favorite movie in the background. No more desk, no more uncomfortable chairs. And if you get tired, you can just set the laptop on the end table, kick all the way back, and take a nice nap
I like my laptop when I wanna get away from the desk but when I find myself using the touchpad I lift my finger (habbit) and start getting twitches in my middle finger.
I always wanted one of those chairs that massaged your back at the same time. Found out when I went to buy one they weren't very good. I stuck with my trusty chair in the end which I have had for a few years.
Here's what I have at home: Steelcase Leap Here's what I have at work: Herman Miller Aeron I am biased but I find the Leap to be better. The Aeron's main flaw was or is the front seat edge. The seat and back are mesh, the front edge is padded plastic which tend to cut off circulation. There are a number of cool features with the Leap like the arm rests on the Leap don't tilt back with the back so you don't pull away from the keyboad, the back flexes in a natural way and can be tension adjusted, and the arm rests move side to side and rotate while Aeron just pivots. Just my $0.03 worth.
Thats the kind i have, Also heated. Never use the heat/massage function much though it's to comfy. This 1 also has a foot rest that massages your feet. Nice birthday present hehe
I have an old chair, but i`ve got used to it. Anyway i`m planning to get a new simple one, but i can`s find one that i like
this chair is what i am using right now..quite comfortable for such a cheap price....and i am lazy that i want chair with wheel so i can roll around without standing up
I'm sure it was bought from a place in the uk (BIG W) cant seem to find any photos of it though. (was a present so cant say for sure where they got it)
I use a Hermen Miller Aeron Chair with polished base and leather arm rests. It set me back $1400, but it's great. I had a crappy Office Depot chair before and it fell apart after 2 years.
