Well the first thing you need to understand is that you don't typically optimize a site for a keyword... you optimize a particular page for a keyword. So you will want to pick a page (or create a new one) for the keyword you want to optimize around. Each page on your site should be optimized for a different keyword phrase (or 2-3 phrases if they are VERY similar).

If you have a URL and keyword in mind, post it here and perhaps we can give you some tips.

    1. Know your target visitors who will search for your site online. You need to figure out what search phrases the surfers use so they can find your site. Always decide on the keywords that you are going to use. Think of some ideas that the surfer will type about your website.

    2. Take a closer look at your title tags. When you use a title tag, make sure that it describes exactly the content of your website.

    3. It is very important to analyze keywords. One of the best and most popular keyword analyzer tools is Google's.

    4. Choose a relevant title. Make sure that it is descriptive enough for the surfers convenience.

    5. Always consider your keyword density. This is one way to optimize your webpage. Keyword phrases should appear at least three to five times in the article while keywords should appear 10 times or more.

These are some of the helpful tips to optimize your website. Hope this might help you.:)

Think of your site in terms of pages. Make each page a "landing page" for a particualr keyword, and make sure that keyword/term is near the top of the page text, in h1 tags and the title tag.

Then get inbound links to that page containing the same keyword/term.

    Simples....

Well I wouldn't say that it is "simple" to do well... but generally that is what you do for on-page SEO. There is still the on-site and off-site SEO which each have their own challenges and 'tricks'. Search Engines rank URLs, not web sites, and not web pages... URLs.

But basically, you want each page on your site to target a different keyword phrase (or 2-3 keyword phrases if they are relatively short and VERY similar). Place those keywords in the <title> element. If you have multiple keywords phrases in the <title> place the most important one first, followed by the 2nd most important, etc.

The <h1> and <h2>s (and <h3s> if you have them) should all target the same words as the <title> (or slight variations of them).

The keyword phrases being targeted by the page (or slight variations) should appear in the content of the page as well. But don't repeat them too often. It should read naturally (not spammy) as if you were talking to a friend about the topic.

When other pages (whether on your site or on other sites) link to your URL, Google and the other engines take the link text in the hyperlink as a strong signal as to what the target page is abount (<a href="targetURL">link text goes here</a>). You also want the pages that link to your URL to be about similar or related (i.e. relevant) topics.

So when other pages on your site link to a page, the link text / anchor text of the hyperlink should contain keywords or keyword phrases (or slight variations) from the <title> of the target page. You don't want to link to the page with the exact same link text all the time. Use the primary keyword phrase (1st in the target page's <title>) most often but also use the other phrases sometimes or use singular and plural, different conjugations of verbs, occasionally synonyms (auto instead of car), etc. Mix it up a bit.

Do the same thing when farming links on other sites pointing to this page.

    Hi,
First of all my friend you have to decide the relevant keywords for your site, after design a good content in which there is good information about your product or services which you provide. Do legal working i.e. white hat SEO techniques for optimizing your website. If you promote your site in illegal way then there is a chance that your site is penalized or even block. So be careful my friend.
