Here is a good wrap up for this thread: http://edition.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/04/24/schneider.polls/ CNN's senior political analyst Bill Schneider presents strong polling evidence that Barack Obama may be the "Super President". How can you conservatives on this forum keep on whining about such trivial things as the debt when it is clear that this president has a mandate to do whatever the @#$@ he wants! This isn't coming from a left wing partisan like me, this is coming from the most impartial of sources!
Speaking of misrepresenting views.. corporations are an entity of the state, they do not exist in a free market.
ncz-nate: This says a lot: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/27/colbert-study-conservativ_n_191899.html As obvious as Colbert is about the fact that he's a "troll" (ie: a ridiculous representation of conservative view points) ... so obvious in fact that his show is on COMEDY CENTRAL, Republicans still don't realize he's making fun of them. On the other hand Obamanation's nonsense is easily seen through by liberals on this board. Just think about that for a little while I think it makes my point actually. Republican "thinking" is so ridiculously insane that it's impossible to make fun of it without people thinking that you are the genuine article.
So far you're the only liberal who has seen through it, jumpboy hasn't. Which is funny though, because he said after reading obamanation's posts he really had to rethink his views and separate himself from the radical left . This "scientific" study just proves to me the extent liberals will go, don't they have anything better to do? Like collect a welfare check? Wait, I guess that would leave them with that much time. Well I don't have to defend "republicans" anyway, since I'm not republican or conservative. DP sure could use some more liberals though, because if this is the best you got then I feel kinda bad.
Zibblu likes to throw out pushy, fact-avoiding words like "obvious", "clearly", "easily", etc. These words always raise suspicion. What was that line again? "You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means".
Yup. That's what liberals do. Collect welfare checks. George Soros collects a lot of welfare checks It's amusing to me how folks always come back to these same silly stereotypes as if they are saying some sort of "truth." The fact is I know a lot of liberals (I don't really have much patience for conservatives) and I don't know a single one on welfare. Most of us are doing quite well for ourselves in fact (in one way or another.)
I don't collect a welfare check. I collect a disability check. My wife works enough to collect the refundable federal tax credits. My son will soon be old enough to collect welfare though...
Wait a minute lol.. are you proud of George Soros? And of course there are liberal elites, they make it possible for the other liberals to get the checks. Just as long as the check-collecting-liberals go out and vote them back in each time, it's a perfect symbiosis.
I don't think a billionaire needs me to proud of him. I don't really know much about Soros actually. Other than that's very rich and he gives a lot of money for liberal causes. Sounds good to me. I like how because a rich dude is a liberal suddenly he's evil. Usually conservatives love the rich Although I suppose you could say because he's liberal he's suddenly a good guy? Eh? I actually like a lot of rich folks. Warren Buffet is alright with me And when I'm rich I'll be pretty cool. --- I just did some research on Soros and I conclude that he's pretty cool. I can see why you don't like him though - he disagrees with Ron Paul on the free market. Of course George Soros is a guy who has made 11 BILLION dollars on the stock market... so he may know a little bit how things work and maybe how they don't work. I'm curious to read his latest book where he predicted the economic collapse. --- BTW to the OP: Obama's approval has actually fallen over the last few days... It's all the way down to 63% !!!
I figured you didn't. LOL. When do conservatives love the rich? You have it all mixed up again, as usual.. most conservatives and libertarians like myself love a free-market, it's actually favoring the little guy. Guess who regulations hurt? Well I'll tell you who they don't hurt, big corporations. I can't open a home-bakery (which I was planning on doing) because of government regulations and inspections which I do not have money to pay for. These are many thousands of dollars we're talking. I am low income (wait which one of us was the capitalist pig?) so this is an impossibility anytime soon. Tough luck, since my greatest skill is health via foods. Liking rich people does not make you anymore capitalist. Excessive wealth that you admire would not be as attainable in a free-market.
Obama is back up to 65% approval. I really dig these numbers on how religious people see Obama. It's nice that Obama has more approval than disapproval even from Mormons! Of course I'm in the nonreligious category and it's nice to see that my fellow heathens agree, President Obama is one cool cat.
Actually he is at 34% http://www.rasmussenreports.com/pub...ministration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll
Ah. I knew it was a mistake to "view post" ... I've already gone over how misleading this number is many times before. It's clear you are determined to live in a fantasy land. The GOP leadership is just as clearly in denial. They cannot deal with the fact that they are just getting trounced in the court of public opinion and that they will continue to dwindle in size until they completely overhaul their party (no, not some silly rebranding, a real overhaul of their platform.) And one more time just in case anyone else is confused by that Rasmussen number: George W. Bush was in the LOW TEENS using that same metric. So yes 34% using the Rasmussen "strongly approve" metric is actually very good compared to where Bush was at. The Republicans will get destroyed in 2010 and 2012 probably no matter what they do. But if they want to have a chance in 2014 and 2016 they better start turning things around.
You're wising up in a way Zibblu, you and George better keep picking your battles wisely. If you want to take it a step further you could put me on ignore.
ncz-nate: I don't have you on ignore because I don't think you are a troll. I just think you're wrong on a lot of stuff (but also right sometimes) I'm cool with disagreements as long as the discussions/arguments are logical. What drives me nuts are folks who just have no interest in a real debate but instead just keep spitting out the same obviously flawed nonsense over and over again. Sadly there are a lot of folks fit into this category that I've decided to put on ignore because it's not worth my time trying to discuss things with people who are too childish to do so at an adult level.
Nate, he just likes to make people think he has them on ignore. He's what we like to call full of... you know what.
Let's look at the Senate races of 2010: 1. Kansas. Republican is retiring. Possible Democratic pickup, especially if the economy picks up by then. 2. Pennsylvania. Specter or a real Democrat beats him in a primary. Dem either way because loony fringe GOP candidate has no chance. 3. Ohio. Possible Dem pickup especially if the Republican retires (as there are rumors he might.) 4. Florida. Another possible Dem pickup as a Republican is retiring. Although Jeb Bush may be hard to be if he enters. --- I'll get to the rest later, have to go. But I think you can see already that the Democrats have a good shot at going well above 60 in 2010.
What I mean is a lot of my points go unanswered and it seems like I repeat myself in each thread because of it. I don't think you're a bad guy, helluva lot more reasonable than the Obamunists on the official Facebook group.
