i wonder what all webpages r they? they dont hav any site indexed on mine...all i get are forum usernames when i search ...
That's the bottom line! It just doesn't work! It still baffles me how these people were so haughty leading up to their launch, as though they were going to revolutionize search and had fixed all the issues related to internet search. It never worked! Not on the day it launched and not today! How dumb did they think we were?
I actually find it a little improved now when compared to its state 10 months ago. But still, it needs a lot of improvement!!! I doubt if they can even come second best to dogpile.....
I like their results! My site is #1 for my most important kw phrase so they must be excellent. Seriously, I do like the mix of sites, but they still have a problem with the putting the wrong photos with sites. It's not that tough.... there's no reason it should be wrong. /*tom*/
lol they aren;t wannabe, they ARE ex google employees, but looks like as their ex employees they thought they can over come google...looks like they dont know any secret of google
I see lots of potential.........but meanwhile there is GOOGLE which controls 80% of the searches in my area (Northern California USA).
That's the wrong way of thinking about monopoly. Without google there would be yahoo, msn, ask, .... etc. You still need to think about the downsides of monopoly, downsides which are already showing them selves up.
In terms of searching and finding what you want Google really sucks big time now. It lost it's edge a while ago when advertising took over the internet, since then google have been making changes to their code to try and filter out all the rubbish designed to fool people into clicking on advertisments. I think Cuil is refreshing, it offers features that will be a great benifit to searchers when it's got the content. I hope it takes root and forces Google to rethink it's attitude to searchers because at the moment it's content is stale and often pointless. I find more of Yahoo then Google, the same stuff is on google but it's under a pile of dust.
cuil is garbage just another flash in the pan search site riding off the ex-google employee hype. Everytime an ex-google employee starts a new company it gets a lot of press - doesn't matter what position they were in. Lol even a janitor can call themselves an ex-Google employee. Easy and quick marketing tactic.
I have come to the conclusion that Cuil is actually a Google project to protect them from anti-monopoly laws so as to make it look like there is a competitor. I sent Cuil a really awesome idea to let them improve their search engine. But they never implemented it, even though they emailed me back.
