Does helping out here makes you a moderator for newbies?

First thing, this is a question to the people who respond to the threads, other than mods, like me, dynashbox, deluxedon, etc so if possible, dont close this thread...

    And as for the thread:

When you help out here, newbies think ur a mod too, so hav you ever got PMs asking for support thinking ur a mod?

I've got a few times like close thread, is this allowed, and stuff...I just tell them to contact someone online from here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showgroups.php

Has this ever happened to you?

    Yes, it do happen sometimes.

But not from a members who posted in Suggestions & Feedback forum, but instead in other part of this forum asking me don't banned or give them infractions in respond to their posts.

Because I don't have the power to do all that, most of the times, I just ignore their PMs. :p

Well don't ignore them, they may think DP Mods suck :p Just forward them to a mod or tell them to contact a mod.

Hmmm...maybe we should be made mods? :p:p:p:p

and besides, we're more active than MOST of the mods here, those who never even visit...

Never happened to me, but it could. When you go out and help or maybe say to someone to chill out, you get confused with a mod. I don't think it's bad, though, if someone thinks that you are a mod, is because you're helping the site, wich is always good (specially considering how much the quality have decreased lately)

Everytime you help a newbie, you are acting as a moderator, a admin. So yeah, we all are Mods in some way :)

bluefox21, Yea sure you never get anything like that, never seen you posting in the Suggestions & Feedback section before the mods answering them, and before they get closed...

Scubita, Well, we should be given credit, shoudn't we :p

Moved to GC as this is neither really a suggestion or feedback, so you can keep the thread open for discussion,

I get the satisfaction by helping out people and if they do mistake me to be a moderator (which nobody did..actually!), I would gladly direct him/her to showgroup list.

It seems OP has craving to be a moderator and pardon me if I am wrong, but why this craze?

    'Live for a cause......not applause!' :)

    Regards,
