Is Google Down?

DNS was my 1st thought, however ive got 2 pc's on the same connection, one works & one doesnt.....

 

Normal service seems to have resumed now.

MS: I'l let you off this time but dont do it again !

 

I haven't been able to access Google Mail for the last couple of hours...

 

Still down for me.

 

Down here as well. Midlands. Been a few hours.

 

Idem in Italy. I haven't been able to access GMail, AdSense Account, AdWords, Google.it, Google.com, ecc... for the last four hours!!!

 

Must be some DNS isssues, some bizzare DNS issues at that

 

The the whole lot is still down for me.

 

That's definitely freaky. Personally I suspect BT is at fault (seems like everyone who's having problems is using them. Could someone who's having trouble post a traceroute? Would be interesting to see where it stops....

That shows you got through to their server just fine. Are you still having problems?

 

On BT here also. Can access the google.co.uk homepage, but it times out on any searches. Can't access google.com or (for me) more importantly, gmail.com.

 

Yep. Google.co.uk works, but times out a lot when searching.
Gmail (really annoying!) is down, as is Google.com/Adwords/Adsense ect.

Been down for a good 3 or 4 hours now?

i'm on tiscali UK...wish I'd never switched from Demon. Tiscali are rubbish!

 

...doing just the IP doesn't seem to help get through to gmail though. well annoying!

 

Not just annoying, this thing is going to cost a huge amount. If its BT with the problem then it will affect millions of people. Its not just the fact that people can't get onto google its every single google service.

For 6 hours Google adsense adverts have not been loading onto any sites (including DP) for anybody on BT.

 

I dont know what i would do without google.

 

To the guy who says Tiscali are 'rubbish', I think you were being polite somewhat, they are TERRIBLE!

 

Seems like something pretty major has gone down somewhere:
