Hi, I am getting lot of offers from different companies, those are selling links on their sites. They are giving high quality back links from good sites, but I am afraid if that can give adverse effect on my SEO efforts. Please suggest if its good to buy or we shall not buy links?
Google doenst likes buying/selling of links. It could be a good source for you as backlinks but if Google finds that out, it could result in a negative way for your site.
Dude! Buy a small banner with alt text as your keyword with your website link just similar to an advertisement. In that case google wont penalize you because you are just advertising, but in SEO scene you are buying a link!
I believe there is nothing wrong with paid links. However you should remember few things while buying: 1)The link should be in thematically relevant page. 2)It should be the only paid link on the page/one of the very few on the Web site. 3)There should be lots of variation in your anchor text. 4)Do not buy links in bulk from same domain. Google will not penalize your website for links that are coming from relevant and quality sites.
Google themselves say buying and selling links is a normal thing on the web... Having said that though, they also do not want you buying links just to try and raise your PR or rank in search engines. They believe in natural rankings only. So, if you're buying links, make sure it's for traffic reasons only and it contains a "nofollow" attribute or buy a link in respected directories (yahoo, botw, and lots of others who don't accept spammy sites) as this is still okay. Although at the time of this writing, I am sure I've got it right, but 5 minutes from now, this might all change. Good luck!
Buying links is ok but Google want "sponsored links" to ahve rel=nofollow in them, which makes them useless for linkbuilding. There are other ways to get loads of backlinks totaly free.
natural linking building is a good option. you can also buy links but don't targeting one keyword...and do not buy link for PR otherwise.. http://tiny.cc/f6ezy If you are targeting some keywords in google and you are buying link, it may be Possible that google ban your site or give you ranking penalty...
Hi all, I'm a newbie starting a new MC related website. How can I get good backlinks? I ought to improve my Google rating very, very, fast. Any sugestions, please? Danke
You have to be VERY careful who you buy links from... or you can end up wasting a lot of money for nothing in return. You should understand that buying links violates Google's Webmaster Guidelines and if caught you 'can' be penalized. However, it is VERY rare that Google can PROVE you paid for a link. They don't know if you bought it or if one of your competitors bought it so that they could get you in trouble by then reporting you for buying paid links. But they frequently CAN prove that the seller is selling links. So they typically penalize the seller's URLs on which the paid links appear (sometimes even their whole domain... or even kick their domain out of their indexes) rendering all outbound links from those pages useless - they no longer pass PR. The buyer is almost never penalized per say. The buyer gets penalized indirectly because you are still paying for the links, but your URL is not being passed any PR because the seller's URLs are under penalty. If you pay for links, it is wise to monitor them closely... like monthly. Watch the PR of the pages that link to your site to see if they have gone from having a visible toolbar PR to being gray barred (which is often a sign of a penalty). Also verify that the page continues to be indexed at Google. If a page that has a link on it to your site is not indexed then it is NOT passing you PR.
You should think a lot before buying links. Main question you should ask your self if whether the link you are going to buy is worth than free links you can get. If it is far better than free links you can go head. But Google will not like buying links.
Please go and ask for links in Business > Links section, this probably is not the right place to ask links. We are discussing a topic which is serious and that affects the SEO stretagy.
I did not ask for links, I asked for an opinion of people that I believe knows more about the subject than myself. You don't need to be rude! But thank you for the advise, anyway.
Do not buy links, especially on sites that are not related to your sites topic. If you do buy links, make sure they have the nofollow tag. The google search engine has features that looks for paid links. If the links have "sponsors" or "advertisers" and then a list of links - all of those links are likely to get a penalty. Google webmaster central has an article about buying links that pass page rank - http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2007/12/information-about-buying-and-selling.html Matt Cutts, who is one of the main guys in google web spam division has several post on his blog about paid links - http://www.dullest.com/blog/sponsored-conversations/ Matt also gives a few examples of why paid links are not recommended.
BOTW the PR bar seems to be greyed out for all the categories (UK) but the home page has a good PR. Does this mean that the cats are greylisted. i.e. will i benefit from links here?
