Hi Shand0, Well it varies as I have quite a few articles out there now, but I would say my best clickthrough rate is about 65% of visitors. Still no more sales for the new niche product I am promoting but I have plenty of sales in one of my niches that I have been writing for. Ready to move on to another niche next week so it should be good! Will keep you posted. Chris
hey Chris! can you post some more meaningful (exact) stats please? like how many articles exactly, how many sales, etc? thanks GL
Hi SirKhan, Yes no problem I have a total of 61 articles out there since I started this. 33 are in one of my own niches and from which I have had 9 sales from them, guess I know my niche The other 28 are in another niche that I am promoting as an affiliate and so far I have had 3 sales from that. On Monday I am going to be starting another niche as an affiliate and hope to get more sales. Will keep you updated. Wish me luck. All the best Chris
Thanks Chris for the answer, well those are good results! Can you measure how many visitors do you have from the article submission? I'm asking because I too have submitted ~40 articles to ezine in the last two weeks and first they sent a very good amount of traffic then suddenly everything almost stopped. Guys say it's because I or my articles were featured on ezines or something, I just wanted to ask you to let us know if you experience anything like that! Thanks
I was doing an experiment in the past week where I submitted about 80 articles (I aimed for 10-12 per day). I don't find my articles are sticking at all but I know from experience that many of my articles rank well down the line - like in 3 months time I get into 'most viewed' for articles I'd completely forgotten about. I wouldn't worry too much if your articles don't rank well straight away. Often on the first day your article will be ranked on page 1 and then it will disappear for a few days or even longer before it comes back again.
Thanks I guess I will have to wait then, but in the meantime I will rewrite and post the articles (+SEO them as good as I can) to my own site I noticed that I'm getting more and more organic visitors to my landing page since the traffic stopped from ezine! I don't think it's a coincidence.
Hi Chris5123, Firstly great thread, Im defo following this. I wanted to ask a quick question and you'll have to excuse me if it sounds silly. I wanted to clarify your process. You write and submit ezine articles. Then in the resource box you link them to where? Is this your own landing page(domain) which then promotes the product you're selling or affiliating. Or Is the link to your domain of which is then redirected directly to the product/affiliate landing page? Best of luck. Neal.
Hi Neal, Cheers for following! To answer your questions: In the resource box I send them to 2 different landing pages depending on whether or not it is my own product, or one of which I am an affiliate for. If it is my own product then I send them direct to the homepage. For this when I am promoting an affiliate product I send them to a blogger blog with an in depth review of the product and of course my affiliate link on the blog so I get credit for the sale. Also I put an Aweber email opt in box and offer a free gift so I can build a list too, I normally offer a free report or something! Update today: Another 10 articles submitted! 5 in my own niche and 5 in a niche of which I am an affiliate for. Will keep on going on this and keep you all posted. Let me know if you have any more questions? All the best Chris
sorry, i should have posted with the quote thing in my previous reply - it's about the premium membership and the timing of having articles published that i had no idea about.
Hi Chris, Thanks for the reply, I've been doing something similar to this which is why i ask. I use Wordpress.com as the blog but am now aware i cannot put aweber on it, i think i'll create an alternative in blogger. Do you get many signing up to your list?
Ignore my above question, read your reply above! Have you tried direct linking? Would be interesting to see the difference in sales.
Hi Longroad, Well with my own niches I am direct linking and it does seem to be better for conversions. If I find a good niche that I am an affiliate for I normally do purchase a URL and get a good landing page up as it does work better. Chris
Just a quick update another 10 articles on Thursday and 7 yesterday. Got another new niche sale, and 1 more in my own niche. Going to research and start another niche on Monday I think I have one that looks good! Will keep you all posted, Chris
Hi Shand0, No to be honest I don't think it has changed that much as long as you keep the reader focused on your article it should be fine. What I do is mention at the start that the solution is at the bottom of the article. Just an update too got another 3 sales in my niche and only a total of 6 in the new niche so I have started a new niche and got my first sale off of just 3 articles. So looks good! Will keep you all posted! Chris
