Hey there DPers......I am a newbie here but i would like to start some good business online. The best i came up with is affiliate marketing. But i am unsure whether this is really a good money spinner. Can you guys suggest to me if this is really a good option for me to place my money on? Or should i go for something else? please post your comments and suggestions. Thank You!
My advice for people first is don't invest your money! You can make money for "free" on the internet. Go in the buy and sell section and you will find plenty of ways to do this. Doing this means any money you lose, which you will probally do the first few times doesn't really effect you. I have a hosting company and many other sites but I have never put in $0.01 of my own money. Also try do something in an area that interest you and you know stuff about. Personally I knew alot about servers so I decided to do this, sure there are people out there doing things like affiliate marketing making alot more money, but I am having fun Don't just think about the money, sure its nice but enjoy yourself.

Thanx a lot! You guys really helped. Any good sugestions on how i can really make some money and actually have fun doing it? I design logos and am pretty much good with photoshop and illustrator. But this is not really fetching me any real guaranteed income.
Affiliate marketing is really a great business to go for. You can earn and then reinvest to grow. You get the unlimited potential.
I don't think affiliate is a good option coz it does involve a lot of hard work to drive sales. Why don't you try something different such as dropshipping
To be simple, You know A is looking to buy something and find you . And you also know B is the supplier of the thing A is looking for . So A pay you for the items, you pay B(the supplier) . Then B deliver the items to A . The deal is finished and you earn commission/money , you don't need to have anything . That is dropshipping.
Forget dropshipping - unless you want to spend 10 hours a day listing on ebay and messing around placing orders and dealing with compaints and out of stock items you just sold! What are you interested in?
Well i like web designing....but all i know is Ps and illustrator. I dont know html or any of those things.
I suggest you start a blog in the niche of your interest. On what ever topic you have good knowledge about, you easily add good content about it in your blog. Then after you start to get traffic, you can then use Adsense or other programs to earn money from your blog. Affiliate business is also good but for that, you will need lot of targeted traffic.
Forget dropshipping - yuck!! Just think about what you are interested in... What you would enjoy doing every day. Then, think about how to make that into a website you can share with others. Build first, monitize second.
Affiliate Marketing can be very lucrative if you have a lot of money to spend, however it can be a disaster if you don't. Be careful when choosing an affiliate, most of them are scams.
