Looking for moderators for javaforums.net

    Hi,

Since i'm too busy lately to be active on the forums i'm trying to get a few moderators to the forum. ( www.javaforums.net )

The site is about java development and at the moment there are around 5k members which most of them reg to download my software. The downside it that the forum isn't really that active apart from a few users but i'm sure it will get better.

Also, being a moderator doesn't mean you will get paid but what i can arrange for you is to personally teach you how to program and develop enterprise applications. I also ocasionally get free tickets & passes to events such as java one (last year) that i can give to you instead so you can meet people that work in the field. The last thing i can can give is a cool <your username>@javaforums.net mail address.

let me know if you are interested.

We can provide you moderation services at a monthly rate (depending on requirements), but we cannot work for free. If you decide to pay, then PM me or email calum [at] vbjet.com and I will organise a moderator for you.

Sorry, idon't pay anyone yet for being a moderator. I' d say getting tickets & passes etc to unique events where normally developers go to is a pretty nice bonus for being a moderator.

I am not trying to be annoying or anything, but do you really need 3 moderators for 5000 posts?

I have 1 active moderator and one inactive moderator for 17k posts

public posts are around 5k, and yes we do. lots of people spam our forums with their site links and we dont need spam.
perfect example: this user spammed us just a few days ago: http://www.engineeringserver.com/forum/profiles/gluk-u4971.html;sa,showPosts check his posts.

Yeah what I am saying is you say just a few days ago, that means you can't get that much. All I am saying is 3+ moderators is very excessive - there are far too many small forums with huge numbers of moderators.

Sir, it sounds like you need to stop the bots from registering. I'm sure that's what most of them are. Use the SMF mod site to find some anti bot mods.
